Jennifer Lopez Discussed Running Into Exes Diddy and Ben Affleck at the Golden Globes in 2013
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are officially headed for divorce after two years of marriage. While the media continue to give Affleck and Lopez a lot of attention, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs’ arrest is also huge news. Lopez dated Combs from 1999 to 2001, and she dated Affleck for the first time a year later in 2002. Now, we’re looking back at what Lopez told Ellen DeGeneres in 2013 about running into her two exes at the Golden Globes.
Jennifer Lopez talked to Ellen DeGeneres in 2013 about running into 2 of her famous exes
Jennifer Lopez continues to make headlines in 2024. She and Ben Affleck tied the knot in 2021 and seemed happily married for the first year. Unfortunately, Bennifer fans caught wind of a potential split in early 2024. In August 2024, Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck, marking the end of their second round of romance.
Not only is one of Lopez’s exes in the news, but Sean “P. Diddy” Combs also made headlines in September 2024. Federal officials arrested Combs on charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. Lopez and Combs dated from 1999 to 2001 after meeting on one of her music videos set.
Lopez spoke to Ellen Degeneres on The Ellen Degeneres Show in 2013 about her experience running into both of her exes at the Golden Globes.
“I see them a lot!” Lopez said with a laugh after verifying that it didn’t feel weird to see Combs at the Golden Globes. “We’re in the same business. You know, we run in the same circles.” She added that she’d seen Combs several times before crossing paths with him at the event that year.
As for Affleck, DeGeneres brought up how Lopez gave Affleck a standing ovation for directing Argo.
“They were really hard on us in the press when we dated back in the day, on movies and things like that, so it was a nice moment,” Lopez explained. “It was nice to see him have that moment. I was really happy for him.”
Jennifer Lopez officially filed for divorce from Ben Affleck in August 2024, but fans are holding out hope
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck seemed destined to stay together forever after rekindling their flame in 2021. They tied the knot in 2022 in Vegas and had another lavish wedding at Affleck’s estate in Georgia. Sadly, their romance came to an end in April 2024. Lopez officially filed for divorce in August 2024 but listed their official date of separation as April 26.
Bennifer fans hoped that Lopez and Affleck might call off their divorce. In September 2024, the couple and their kids went to brunch at the Polo Lounge in the Beverly Hills Hotel.
“Once they were together, he could not keep his hands off,” a source told Page Six. “They have always had a lot of sexual chemistry. That was not planned. They are still attracted to one another.”
What does their alleged PDA mean for their divorce proceedings? They are still moving forward with the divorce” and “working out financial details amicably,” an insider alleged to People.
J.Lo hasn’t commented on Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs’ arrest
As for Jennifer Lopez’s other ex, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, officials arrested him in September 2024. He faces charges for sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution, of which he pleads not guilty.
Lopez hasn’t commented on anything related to Combs’ misconduct. There’s a chance she may be called as a witness in his case due to her presence in the 1999 New York City nightclub shooting that involved them.
“Jennifer Lopez’s presence the night of the shooting incident and then departing in the same vehicle as Combs makes her a witness with firsthand knowledge and could subject her to being subpoenaed to testify under oath,” New York lawyer Pete Gleason told In Touch Weekly. “If there are any criminal charges or civil claims not outside the statute of limitations, this would likely prove problematic for Lopez.”
