Jennifer Lopez Doesn’t Go to Sleep Until 5:00 a.m.
Jennifer Lopez is known for being a hard worker. She said in many interviews that she does whatever she can to stay ahead of the competition. Many celebrities comment on how dedicated Lopez is. J.Lo once revealed she sometimes doesn’t go to sleep until 5:00 a.m.

Lopez is serious about doing her best work. She tells Variety her approach to her job is to work while everyone else is sleeping. Lopez’s net worth proves all her work pays off.
The Selena star doesn’t want to get to a point where she relaxes once she has achieved something. She continues to stay focused and sharp so she doesn’t lose her edge. “My business philosophy is that you just have to work harder than everybody else,” says Lopez.
Lopez says some people believe they’re hard workers, but that might not be true. She says she’s not just working hard—she’s working harder than everyone else.
“I think we all think we’re working hard all the time,” she continues. “My kids are like, ‘We know you work hard,’ and I’m like, ‘No, it’s not just that I work hard, it’s that I put in harder work than everybody else. I work harder, and harder, and harder. When everybody is sleeping, I’m doing more. And that’s what it takes to have that kind of success. It’s just a relentless pursuit of creativity.”
Lopez goes to sleep as late as 5:00 a.m.
Lopez is quite the night owl. The singer told Variety she often doesn’t sleep until 4:00 a.m. or 5:00 a.m. However, if she must be somewhere early, she adjusts her bedtime. Why does Lopez choose to go to bed at 5:00 a.m.? The Hustlers star says going to sleep this late is convenient. “That’s a better schedule for me,” she tells the publication.
Although Lopez gets to bed late, she doesn’t skimp on sleep. She tells Dr. Oz she aims for 6 to 8 hours of sleep a night, but she would like to get 11 hours if she could. She reportedly wakes up anywhere from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Ben Affleck admires Jennifer Lopez’s work ethic
During an In Style interview, Ben Affleck says Lopez is the hardest-working person he knows in entertainment. He praised her for her dedication.
“I thought I had a good work ethic, but I was completely humbled and blown away by what [Jennifer Lopez] was committed to doing day in and day out, the seriousness in which she took her work, the quiet and dedicated way she went about accomplishing her goals, and then how she would go back and redouble her efforts,” says Affleck.
Affleck also says Lopez is talented. “She remains, to this day, the hardest-working person I’ve come across in this business. She has great talent, but she has also worked very hard for her success, and I’m so happy for her that she seems, at long last, to be getting the credit she deserves.”
