Jennifer Lopez ‘Doesn’t Enjoy Being Single’ After Ben Affleck Divorce, Body Language Expert Says

Since the separation, Lopez has said she’s embracing loving herself and plans to move forward as a single woman for awhile. However, a body language expert says she “doesn’t enjoy being single.”

Jennifer Lopez loves love. The “Jenny From the Block” singer has been married four times and engaged six. She thought that her love story with Ben Affleck would last the rest of her life, as she and Ben initially fell in love in the early 2000s. Unfortunately, their differences proved too great to overcome. Lopez served Ben divorce papers in August 2024, and they finalized their divorce in January 2025.
Lopez can now embrace life as a single woman. However, celebrity body language expert Inbaal Honigman spoke to Casino.org regarding whether Lopez appeared happy in her post-Ben life. According to Honigman, Lopez doesn’t seem to “enjoy being single,” despite what she may tell media outlets.
“Jennifer Lopez appears somewhat lonely since her divorce,” Honigman explained. “Lopez doesn’t enjoy being single and she isn’t embracing her divorced life.”
The expert added that Lopez’s “usual radiant smile is noticeably absent” in photos of her on the red carpet. “Her photos from the Grammys reveal a more somber expression,” she continued. “When she does smile, it’s tight-lipped — no teeth showing. It’s polite, but not joyful.” This makes Lopez appear to look happy for the camera, but disingenuous.
“Contrast this with last year’s Golden Globes with Ben, where even during a rough patch in their relationship, her smile was still bright and natural — teeth showing, cheeks rounded,” Honigman continued. “She appeared much happier with him.”

Jennifer Lopez still connects with Ben Affleck’s oldest child, Violet Affleck, post-divorce. Violet and Lopez had a wonderful relationship during Ben and Lopez’s marriage. The stepmom and stepdaughter were often shopping together in the Hamptons.
Body language expert Inbaal Honigman said more recent photos of Lopez with Violet show “stress” from Lopez. “In photos from a lunch outing with Violet Affleck, Jennifer’s mouth is tight, and her neck veins are visibly strained — a clear sign of stress,” the expert explained. “Given that it was a low-key, camera-free family lunch, the stress likely stems not from the event, but from her single status, which doesn’t seem to suit her.”
An insider also claimed that Violet wishes Ben and Lopez would’ve stuck with each other. “Violet does wish her dad Ben would stay with J.Lo,” the source told DailyMail.com in August 2024. “She wasn’t living in their house and did not see the extent of the breakdown, but she got extremely close to J.Lo over the past couple of years, and it broke her heart when they split.”

As of February 2025, Jennifer Lopez hasn’t come forward to announce she’s dating anyone just yet. However, rumors continue to fly. Some insiders suggested she and Drake were rekindling their past fling. Others said Lopez and Kevin Costner were interested in each other.
In November 2024, a source told In Touch Weekly that Lopez felt ready to “have some fun” post-Ben Affleck. “Obviously, she’s showing Ben what he’s missing,” the source said of Lopez’s sultry outfits. “… She’s not looking for a serious relationship — for now — but she is looking to have some fun. She’s on the prowl again.”
