Ben Affleck reportedly didn’t attend the event, as he’s been on the West Coast in LA for months. It’s unclear if Affleck planned to celebrate Lopez’s birthday separately, as her actual birth date is July 24.

Lopez posted footage of the event on Instagram. “Dearest Gentle Reader … And a splendid evening was had by all,” she captioned the post, which showed horse-drawn carriages and live orchestral music. The evening featured Regency-era dancing, and every attendee arrived in 1800s-appropriate costuming.

As for Lopez, she wore a sparkling ball gown with a corset top to start the evening before changing into a green dress later in the night. She wore her hair in a large updo. The Instagram reel shows Lopez singing into a microphone at her party while drinking champagne. She also had a beautiful tiered cake with sparkler party candles.

A few hours before Lopez posted footage from her party, she posted a thirst trap to Instagram. The selfie shows the star showing off her curves in a white swimsuit. She dressed up the look with gold jewelry and had her hair back in a simple ponytail. “This is me … now,” she captioned the post with a birthday cake emoji, referencing her 2024 album. The photo also prominently featured her left hand, which is noticeably missing a wedding ring.

A source told DailyMail.com they’re taking “some time apart” to work through their issues and see if they can salvage their relationship.

“Jen and Ben agreed it is best to take some time apart so they can really figure out what it is that they want,’ the insider alleged. “They were ready to throw in the towel. Divorce papers are done and ready to be filed. But they wanted to give it one last go before walking away from this ….”

Another source told DailyMail.com that the space between them might be working. “They have given each other space to think things over, and this has reinforced that they do love each other,” the source said.
