Lopez and Affleck reunited in 2021. Before Lopez got back together with Affleck, she was engaged to former baseball player Alex Rodriguez.
Lopez and Affleck first met in 2001 while filming Gigli. Lopez was married to dancer Cris Judd at the time, but they divorced in 2003. Once that relationship was over, Lopez and Affleck started a romance. However, they ended their relationship in 2004. Lopez then married singer Marc Anthony in 2004. They divorced in 2014.

Lopez says she received a precious gift from Affleck. She revealed her boyfriend made a special music video to her song “On My Way,” which is featured in her movie, Marry Me. The video is titled “On My Way: The Remix.” It shows clips from the couple’s relationship, starting from when they first met to the present.
“Watching [the video] made me think about the journey of true love, its unexpected twists and turns, and that when it’s real, it actually can last forever,” says Lopez [via People]. “This seriously melted my heart.”
Furthermore, Lopez says she would usually only share something like this with those closest to her, but she decided to let her fans see the video. She describes Affleck’s gift as “very special and personal,” and she originally was going to share the video with just the members of her “inner circle.”
Would Jennifer Lopez ever get married again?
During an interview on the Today show, Lopez spoke about her upcoming movie and her personal life. Host Hoda Kotb asked Lopez if she would ever marry again. She didn’t seem sure but said she still believes in love.
“I don’t know,” Lopez tells Kotb. “Yeah, I guess. You know me, I’m a romantic, I always have been. I’ve been married a few times. I still believe in happily ever after, for sure, 100%.”
During an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Affleck describes his relationship with Lopez as “beautiful.” He didn’t get into detail about how they got back together, but he did convey that he’s grateful they rekindled their romance. He says appreciates that he was able to have a second shot at love.
“I am very lucky in my life in that I have benefited from second chances, and I am aware that other people don’t even get first chances,” Affleck tells the publication. “I’ve had second chances in my career. I’ve had second chances as a human being. Life is difficult, and we are always failing and hopefully learning from those failures. The one thing you really need to avail yourself of the opportunities provided from that growth is the second chance.”
