Jennifer Lopez pulled the trigger on her relationship with Ben Affleck in August 2024. Before the couple’s official split, Lopez and Affleck put their 38,000-square-foot Beverly Hills mansion up for sale in July 2024. As of November 2024, the couple still hasn’t sold the property. Photos appear to show how Lopez continues to live there. Here’s what we know.

Jennifer Lopez is seemingly still living in the mansion she bought with Ben Affleck

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck bought their Beverly Hills mansion in May 2023 and hoped to sell it a year later. They bought the home for $60.8 million and initially listed it for $68 million. Lopez and Affleck didn’t have much luck when privately listing the property, and it remained unsold when publicly listed. Now, it looks like Lopez is still living in the mansion despite her trying to sell it.

On Nov. 2, 2024, Lopez posted photos in a plaid Dior outfit on Instagram. Two of the photos show her posing on a front doorstep next to a potted tree, a “pumpkin patch” sign, and a jack-o’-lantern. According to In Touch Weekly, Lopez is standing on the doorstep of the mansion she shared with Affleck. It’s unclear how much time she spends in the mansion, as she’s also frequently seen at her Hamptons home.

Before Lopez officially filed for divorce from Affleck, Affleck reportedly moved out of the mansion to live in a $100,000 monthly Brentwood rental. “They’ll likely have to sell the dream house they spent two years searching for,” a source told In Touch Weekly in May 2024.

Affleck then moved out of his apartment after buying a $20 million five-bedroom, six-bathroom residence in the same neighborhood. Affleck’s rental and new home are close to his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, whom he allegedly frequently confided in regarding his failed marriage to Lopez.

Jennifer Lopez Warned to ‘Reign In Her Spending’ After Several $100,000 Shopping Sprees, Source Says

Jennifer Lopez spends a lot of time in New York, as she has a home in the Hamptons. Over the summer of 2024, Ben Affleck spent the warm months in Los Angeles while photos showed Lopez with his oldest daughter, Violet, in the East Coast state. An insider alleged that Lopez hoped to call New York her home state after her divorce.

“Even before things went totally south with Ben, she was pushing for a full-time move to New York, and now she’s decided to go ahead with that after the split,” the source told In Touch Weekly. ” … She’ll probably keep a place in LA, but she needs to get away from all the noise and the scrutiny on the West Coast.”

As for her kids, Max and Emme Muniz, the source added that New York could serve as a “fresh start” for the twins.

“There’s nothing to stop her from taking the kids and making a fresh start back in New York,” the insider says. “They’ve got plenty of schools back east, and she’s got a great social circle there.”

She allegedly was in negotiations to buy a famous estate in Los Angeles

Despite reports that Jennifer Lopez hoped for a full-time move to New York, TMZ reported in September 2024 that Lopez was eyeing up the Azria Estate in Holmby Hills, Los Angeles. The listing showed the 30,000-square-foot estate was listed for $55 million. Lopez reportedly hoped to bring the price down to $30-39 million.

The estate also shares a property line with one of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ properties. Lopez famously dated Combs from 1999 to 2001.

It’s unclear if Lopez would buy the Los Angeles estate before selling the Beverly Hills mansion. A source told In Touch Weekly that Lopez “put down the bulk of cash for their gigantic mansion, plus paid for many of the renovations.” As a result, “she wants to get her investment back” in the house sale.
