Jennifer Lopez is known for her four marriages in the past, with her most recent marriage to Ben Affleck ending after two years. Lopez tied the knot with her first husband, Ojani Noa, in 1997. Unfortunately, they called it quits after 11 months. Recently, Noa came forward and stated that Sean “Diddy” Combs was partially responsible for the collapse of his marriage to Lopez. Here’s what he said about her “deception” and lying with Combs.

Jennifer Lopez’s first husband, Ojani Noa, called out Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs for causing the end of his marriage

Jennifer Lopez and Ojani Noa ended their romance after 11 months. In 1999, Lopez started dating Sean “Diddy” Combs after meeting him on the set of one of her music videos. Lopez and Combs didn’t last, as they stopped dating in 2001. While there’s seemingly no overlap between Noa and Combs, Noa recently stated that he partially blames Combs for the collapse of his marriage to Lopez.

“Part of that divorce was because of Puffy,” Noa said while on Despierta América, according to Complex. “When we were already married, when Selena came out and her career took off, she told me, ‘Papi, I want to be a singer.’ I said, ‘Mami, let’s do it. Let’s take advantage of the opportunity and take meetings with different record labels and see which one will sign you.’”

Combs then became involved with Lopez’s Sony music contract. The media mogul planned to produce several songs on her 1999 debut album. At the time, Noa was opening restaurants in Los Angeles while Lopez spent her time between Miami and New York.

“When I could, I would go to be with her,” he explained, according to Page Six. “There, in that distance, in that separation, was where the deception started.”

Lopez and Noa do not appear on good terms now. While on the talk show, Noa said that if he could, he would ask Lopez, “What did I do to you so that you have taken me to court? You have accused me, you have lied, you have created false things about me, and you have called several companies to throw me out and different television networks not to give me work.”

Jennifer Lopez Once Said Diddy Had a ‘Problem’ With Her Kissing Scenes in Movies

Federal agents arrested Combs in September 2024 for racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Combs’ sex parties, known as “freak-offs” are at the center of conversation. Ojani Noa posted about Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ “freak-offs” on Instagram.

On Oct. 15, 2024, Noa posted an alleged “guest list” of those invited to Combs’ parties. Jennifer Lopez made the list. “I’M NOT ON THE LIST,” Noa captioned the post. “To those people and media outlets asking if I ever went or participated in that Piece of S*** (DIDDY’S) Freak-Off Parties. No and No. Never. But my Ex-Wife (Jennifer Lopez) a.k.a (J.LO) Did … Ask Her.”

Noa also posted several photos of Lopez attending Combs’ parties in the late ’90s and early 2000s.

J.Lo could be considered as a witness in the current lawsuit

Jennifer Lopez’s connection with Sean “Diddy” Combs and a nightclub shooting in the past may put her on the witness stand for his trial. An expert told In Touch Weekly that Lopez’s presence with Combs at the 1999 shooting means she might possess “firsthand knowledge.”

“Jennifer Lopez’s presence the night of the shooting incident and then departing in the same vehicle as Combs makes her a witness with firsthand knowledge and could subject her to being subpoenaed to testify under oath,” New York lawyer Pete Gleason told the publication. “If there are any criminal charges or civil claims not outside the statute of limitations, this would likely prove problematic for Lopez.”
