Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck had hope that rekindling their flame after 20 years apart would work. Unfortunately, after two years of marriage, they called it quits in August 2024. Lopez pulled the trigger by filing, and the exes are now working through finalizing the divorce. And a source recently revealed that all of Lopez’s numerous exes are “happy” to have her far away from them. Here’s what the insider claimed.
Jennifer Lopez’s exes allegedly want nothing to do with her moving forward
Jennifer Lopez fans know of her several failed marriages. Lopez tied the knot with her first husband, Ojani Noa, in 1997, and they divorced a year later. She then married Cris Judd in 2001 and divorced him in 2003. She and Marc Anthony were married from 2004 to 2014 and share twins, Max and Emme. Finally, Lopez and Ben Affleck said “I do” in 2022 and called it quits in 2024.
A source told In Touch Weekly that those who date Lopez need to prepare for “a suitcase full of drama.”
“She’s made it clear that if you want to date her, you’d better be ready to treat her like a queen and deal with a suitcase full of drama,” the insider claimed, adding that men have grown hesitant to date her.
“Jennifer may say she needs time away from men, but that’s clearly a self-defense mechanism because the reality is that every man who sees her coming now runs in the other direction,” the source alleged. “She’s aware of what’s happening, but she’s trying to control the narrative to make it look like she’s the victim — which is getting harder for anybody to swallow!”
The insider added that “all” of Lopez’s exes feel happy to move forward without her, including Affleck. “All of her exes are happy she’s out of their lives and regretting their time together,” they said.
Ben Affleck recently complimented his most recent ex despite their divorce proceedings
Ben Affleck allegedly waited for Jennifer Lopez to make the first move in their divorce proceedings. While the couple couldn’t make their marriage work, they still have residual respect for each other. Affleck and Lopez had brunch with their kids after Lopez submitted the paperwork for their separation. Then, in November 2024, Affleck called Lopez “spectacular” in regards to her work on the film Unstoppable, which his film company produced.
“Unstoppable is a very different movie than [Small Things Like These], but in a way, it’s similarly rooted in the passion of really talented artists,” Affleck told Entertainment Tonight. “[Director] Billy Goldenberg and Jennifer and Don Cheadle and Jharrel and Bobby Cannavale — all of whom were really passionate about this film.”
While Affleck gave Lopez a positive shoutout, he didn’t appear at the Unstoppable premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. Lopez reportedly tried to talk to Matt Damon about Affleck, but Damon shut down the conversation. “It was her timing that was so awkward because she would have known that pulling Matt aside at the event to have an intimate talk was going to get picked up and go viral,” a source told DailyMail.com.
Some celebrities, like Drake, are allegedly anxious to date Jennifer Lopez
While Jennifer Lopez’s exes allegedly don’t want anything to do with her, Drake allegedly does. A source told In Touch Weekly that Drake reached out to Lopez as soon as she filed the divorce papers in August 2024.
“He was very sweet and told her what a fool Ben is for letting her get away, and then he quickly let her know he’s ready and willing to step in and satisfy her,” the source noted.
According to the source, Lopez wasn’t too quick to jump back into dating. However, she was open to staying “in the sexting stage” with the rapper.
