Jennifer Lopez’s New State of Mind Post-Split From Ben Affleck After She Steps Out in Revenge Dress
When Princess Diana and then-Prince Charles split, Diana showed up at an event wearing a little black dress that was dubbed the “revenge dress.” Now, 30 years later, Jennifer Lopez has donned what many are calling her “revenge dress” following her split from Ben Affleck. But it’s not just the dress, an expert noticed what else the “Jenny From the Block” artist did to send her ex a strong message.

Lopez rocks ‘revenge dress’ to premiere and shows her ‘power’
Darren Stanton is a body language and behavioral expert with a degree in psychology. He previously worked as a police officer and used his expertise to uncover the truth when interviewing hundreds of suspects. He later moved into media and TV as a consultant and has been dubbed the “Human Lie Detector.”
At the Wicked premiere in Los Angeles earlier this month Lopez donned an eye-popping gold cutout gown by designer Zuhair Murad. It featured a high-halter neckline with an uncovered back and slits that revealed the star’s toned torso and long legs.
After analyzing the singer’s appearance, Stanton told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “The dress that she wore recently while attending the premiere has been called the revenge dress.” He then explained: “We saw lots of power gestures. Power gestures are displayed to say that ‘I am massively confident and really important and I’ve got great self-esteem.’
“[Lopez] put her hands on her hips and she spread her feet apart. This is where we make our space that is occupied look much larger than normal, and it’s a psychological way of saying that internally our confidence levels and self-esteem are really high.”
Stanton added that the Unstoppable actor showed “a little bit of smugness” which seemed to be a direct “look what you’re missing” message to Affleck.
Reports that Lopez is using excuses about ‘family time’ to get close to Ben again
Following that premiere, there have been several reports that although she filed for divorce months ago, Lopez doesn’t want to completely give up on her life with Affleck yet and believes he and their children should spend Thanksgiving together.
According to Marca, the Unstoppable actor could be using “family time” to get close to her estranged husband again. Affleck has three children with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, and Lopez has two with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony. Their kids have all gotten really close to each other over the last few years.
A source close to the former couple was quoted as saying: “Ben has been trying to distance himself from Jen, but she just won’t let him. She’s been showing up at the same events as him and demanding they continue doing group activities with the kids, and if he doesn’t agree then he’s the bad guy. Now, she’s pushing for them to do joint celebrations for Thanksgiving and Christmas, saying it’s for the children, but Ben isn’t buying it’s just about them.”
The reports also claim that J.Lo is worried about how their children will handle the divorce but Ben is hesitant about any type of reconciliation.
