Fans of Jeopardy! finally got word of who they’ll be watching at the quiz board for the rest of season 38. Big Bang Theory alum Mayim Bialik and game show GOAT Ken Jennings will continue to tag-team hosting duties now that they’ve established themselves as master moderators. While viewers are in favor of the decision, many are still lobbying for this champ and previous guest host.

‘Jeopardy!’ announces Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik will continue to host through this season

Sharing the news on Jeopardy!’s Instagram account, Jennings and Bialik were confirmed to stay on as season 38’s guest hosts.

“We are delighted to let you know our excellent and experienced team in front of and behind the camera will continue into 2022,” the caption read alongside pics of Bialik and Jennings. “@missmayim and #kenjennings will share hosting duties through the end of #Jeopardy! Season 38, and Michael Davies will remain as executive producer.”

Jennings also tweeted his gratitude for the extension on his guest hosting gig. “Delighted that @missmayim and I will be with you all season on @Jeopardy!” he wrote.

Bialik first served at the iconic lectern at the end of May 2021 through mid-June, returning to the post in September. Jennings was the first guest host of Jeopardy! in January 2021 after the death of game show legend Alex Trebek in November 2020.

‘Jeopardy!’ fans are on both sides of the fence – and the middle

Many Jeopardy! viewers lauded the choice of keeping both brainiacs as guest hosts for the remainder of the season.

“Love them both! They bring their personality and smarts and I appreciate this new approach” a fan posted.

“Sounds good to me ☺️,” another remarked. “These 2 are doing a great job,” a follower commented.

“Literally all I wanted for Christmas! This is so wonderful.” one raved.

Still, some fans were split. While posts went up in favor of Jennings such as, “Love Ken. He should be the daily host. He’s wonderful,” others pushed for the Call Me Kat star. “Love Mayim Bialik for Jeopardy!!! She brings such positivity and fun!” a fan noted.

With the decision now official, Jeopardy! viewers can consider having Jennings and Bialik at the lectern as the best of both worlds.

Viewers want Buzzy Cohen back on ‘Jeopardy!’

One request many Jeopardy! fans seem to share is to bring back former champ Buzzy Cohen. Winning the quiz show’s Tournament of Champions contest in 2017, Cohen also took a turn at the iconic podium in May 2021 and wowed fans with his amiable hosting style. Viewers voiced their hopes to see him back at the quiz board.

“I like these two, but can we see Buzzy again??” one wrote. “YAY but also get my man buzzy,” another posted.

“It would’ve been perfect if Buzzy Cohen were part of the host,” a viewer commented. “I’m disappointed Buzzy isn’t included,” a fan remarked.

Cohen previously shared how his Jeopardy! experience helped his self-esteem and made a positive impact on his life.

“My stint on the show would transform the way I saw myself,” he wrote in The Washington Post. “I won nine games over two tape days — something that, to me, was extraordinary. … That moment gave me one of my most useful tools in subsequent moments of doubt. Now, whenever I want to tell myself I’m worthless, there’s that little voice in my head that reminds me of my time on Jeopardy! It says, ‘Hey, you did this, and it was pretty amazing.’”

As of now, there have been no announcements of Cohen returning to the Jeopardy! stage, and Jennings and Bialik are confirmed for the rest of season 38.
