While it appears that the cringy moments have always been a part of both the OG Jersey Shore and Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, some incidents were more unforgettable than others. The cast, known for their hard-partying ways, behaved so badly they created moments viewers wouldn’t soon forget.

4. Jenni Farley using the upstairs at Karma as a bathroom

Karma was a club the Jersey Shore cast frequented when they lived at a shore house in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. Wanting to ditch the crowds in the downstairs area, Jenni Farley and Nicole Polizzi went to an upstairs, outdoor service bar. It was closed off to the public.

They danced and had their own party until Jenni had to use the bathroom. She then said in a clip, “Upstairs at Karma, there’s no bathrooms and 30 stairs.”

She continued, “I had huge heels on. And if you’re like myself, and you can’t make it downstairs, you make your own bathroom.” So Jenni went behind the bar and relieved herself, washing it the mess down with a water spigot so it “didn’t smell anymore.”

3. Mike Sorrentino accidentally exposes himself

After a night of clubbing where Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi relieved herself on the porch of the Jersey Shore house, Mike Sorrentino stormed down the stairs, complaining of pimples in his nether region. However, Mike was unaware the camera followed him as his pants were open and his private parts exposed as he repeated “Gym, tan, acne” in a memorable season 5 scene.

Thankfully, the show thought to pixelate the moment. However, Mike continued his rant by sharing how upset he was that Vinny Guadagnino, Pauly DelVecchio, and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro didn’t embrace his newfound good side as his pants fell lower and lower. He later ranted at the women in the house with his nether region exposed to the cameras.

2. Ronnie smashes Sammi’s belongings

Sammi Giancola wanted to know how Ronnie Ortiz-Magro could have treated her so badly when the group visited Miami. Ronnie’s rebuttal: “I have enough respect and love for you to admit what I did was wrong and shameful and disrespectful. You’re so dumb and hardheaded that you can’t even admit that what you did to me in Atlantic City was wrong, what you did to me in Jersey was wrong” (via YouTube).

Ronnie dramatically took Sammi’s belongings out of the closet and threw them out the door and onto the deck. She screamed, “I hate you more than I’ve hated anybody in my entire life” as Ronnie attempted to move Sammi’s bed outside with Sammi still on it. In the end, most of Sammi’s things were broken or destroyed, including her glasses.

Any Jersey Shore fan remembers the classic season 3 scene of Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi day drinking by herself. After an almost 24-hour bender, she was so drunk, Nicole had no idea what she was doing.

After meeting Jenni Farley and Deena Cortese at a local bar, Nicole ran off down the Seaside Heights boardwalk. She ran over to an older man sitting on a bench right in front of the gateway to the beach.

“Where’s the beach?” she asked. He pointed behind him and said, “It’s right there. Where else would it be.”

The remainder of the scene was Snooki refusing to get off the beach, as Jenni and Deena tried to pull her to the boardwalk. She ultimately was arrested for being drunk and disorderly on the beach. The scene has ultimately become one of the most iconic in the series’ history.

Jersey Shore ultimately aired its last episode in 2012. The series was rebooted in 2018 as Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. It airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on MTV.
