‘Jersey Shore’: Angelina Pivarnick Blames the Media for Her Past Miscarriage
Angelina Pivarnick is one of the few Jersey Shore: Family Vacation roommates who doesn’t have kids yet. Many fans might not know of Pivarnick’s past pregnancy and the tragedy surrounding it. Ten years ago, Pivarnick suffered a miscarriage and blamed Jersey Shore and the media attention it garnered for what happened.

In 2011, Pivarnick was dating and engaged to David Kovacs. After calling off their two-month engagement, Pivarnick spoke out about another loss. She suffered a miscarriage that same year.
“It was really hard, and I went through a lot of stress, and I ended up losing the baby,” Pivarnick said on the FOX talk show Father Albert. It remains unclear whether or not Kovacs was the father.

“Do you think the harassment and constant attention had something to do with it?” the host asked the Jersey Shore star.
“Definitely,” Pivarnick replied. “I wanted [my pregnancy] to be my personal business, and it really wasn’t.”
On top of the media pressure, Pivarnick said her baby’s father wasn’t there for her during the difficult time. “He was tormenting me, and it was definitely a big reason why I think what happened to me [happened],” she said. “It was definitely a reality check.”
Some say the ‘Jersey Shore’ star faked her 2011 pregnancy
When news of Pivarnick’s miscarriage broke, an ex spoke out about the event and called Pivarnick a liar. According to RumorFix.com (via HuffPost), a few people closest to former the Jersey Shore star believe she “faked her pregnancy and the subsequent miscarriage.” Who is telling the truth in this situation remains unclear.
‘Jersey Shore’ fans thought Angelina Pivarnick was pregnant again
On Dec. 31, 2020, Pivarnick shared a sonogram photo on Instagram with the caption: “So excited to finally share our news! #LinkInBio.”
The since-deleted post and the link took users to an article highlighting Pivarnick’s journey on Jersey Shore and Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. While the article mentioned Pivarnick’s marriage to Chris Larangeira and the falling out with her roommates, there was no mention of Pivarnick’s previous miscarriage or news of another pregnancy.
Many fans were disheartened, especially knowing Pivarnick miscarried in the past. “And some people on here wonder why Angelina is so disliked,” one fan said on Reddit.
‘Jersey Shore’ fans are tired of the ‘clickbait’
“That makes her joke worse because she knows the pain of a miscarriage,” a fan wrote on a Reddit thread regarding Pivarnick’s 2011 interview. “But anyway, I am sorry [for] her loss.”
“On my Instagram feed, the post before this is a heartfelt post about someone I follow having three miscarriages this year,” another Jersey Shore wrote on a previous Reddit thread. “Posting this as clickbait is absolutely disgusting and insensitive.”
This isn’t the first time Pivarnick shared “clickbait” on the app, nor is she alone in doing so. Jersey Shore stars like Ronnie Ortiz-Magro have also shared these types of posts in the past. By sharing these articles with attention-grabbing social media posts, the reality stars can earn money for clicks.
Much of Pivarnick’s personal life is private now. Still, many fans expect to hear baby news from Pivarnick soon. Representation for the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star did not answer a request for comment by the time of publication.
