‘Jersey Shore’: Angelina Pivarnick’s Short-Lived Music Career Includes ‘I’m Hot’ and Another Single the Roommates Didn’t Mention
Thanks to Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, MTV fans have discovered Angelina Pivarnick’s time as a rap artist. After Pivarnick left Jersey Shore in season 2, she pursued music. Learn more about Pivarnick’s short-lived music career, including her thoughts on the single “I’m Hot” and the other song Pivarnick released the roommates didn’t talk about.
Angelina Pivarnick left ‘Jersey Shore’ after season 2
Most people know Pivarnick for her short-lived stint on the original Jersey Shore. After leaving the house in season 1 because she missed her boyfriend, Pivarnick returned for season 2. But Pivarnick’s bond with the roommates was lacking, and she ultimately left the show for good before season 2 ended.
When the MTV series returned for season 3, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi‘s friend Deena Cortese replaced Pivarnick. It wasn’t until MTV announced Jersey Shore: Family Vacation that Pivarnick returned to the series as part of the family.
‘Jersey Shore’ roommate Angelina Pivarnick has a song called ‘I’m Hot’
DJ Pauly D isn’t the only musically-inclined Jersey Shore roommate. In 2010, Pivarnick announced the release of her single “I’m Hot” on Twitter.
“Breaking News: My first single ‘I’m Hot’ will drop next month on I-Tunes!!!” she wrote (via Starcasm). “I’m so EXCITED!!!! ‘I’m Hot’ is an electro-pop/hip hop track. [You’re] gonna love it!!!”
Later in 2011, Pivarnick released another single, “Gotta Go Out.” The electronic-pop song celebrates staying out all night and partying like only a Jersey Shore star can do.
Angelina Pivarnick reportedly doesn’t like the song ‘I’m Hot’
Pivarnick partnered with producer Andy Stein to create the song “I’m Hot.” Allegedly there was some drama between both parties regarding the song’s release. Sources close to Pivarnick said Stein saddled her with an insufficient contract (via New York Daily News).
Reportedly, Pivarnick didn’t like the version of the song that was released. “This song was supposed to be a catchy and playful song!!” she allegedly said. “I didn’t wanna release the song because truthfully, I think the song needed a lot more work!! In blunt terms, it sucked!!”
Angelina Pivarnick’s single ‘I’m Hot’ sees a resurgence on ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’
Pivarnick’s past music career recently resurfaced on the MTV series Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. Jenni “JWoww” Farley played the most appropriate pump-up song to prepare for her birthday party — Pivarnick’s “I’m Hot.” Later, the roommates dissected Pivarnick’s choice lyrics during the episode.
“I came to play, I’m here to stay, I do it my way every day,” the song begins. “I’m hot, so hot. I’m like an ice cream cone with a cherry on top.” The roommates point out how the lyrics of Pivarnick’s single make no sense, especially when you think about how ice cream works.
The ‘Jersey Shore’ star also explored a career as an EMT
Music isn’t the only thing Pivarnick worked on during her time outside of the spotlight. Before joining the cast of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Pivarnick was working as an EMT.
“My day job is being an EMT,” she explained in an episode of E! True Hollywood Story. “For forever, I’ve wanted to help people, so I decided to go to school and do it. Me being an EMT, people get to see the best in me. I have a big heart, but people don’t realize it.”
Later in 2019, after becoming part of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Pivarnick told Life and Style Magazine that she “still hold[s] the job as [an] EMT,” but it’s been difficult since her 2017 injury because she is “not the same.” Stay tuned to Showbiz Cheat Sheet to find out whether or not more music is in Pivarnick’s future.
