‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ Cast Filming in San Diego; When to Expect New Episodes
The cast of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation has been actively filming the second half of season 5. Recently, fans spotted the reality TV stars — minus Ronnie Ortiz-Magro — in San Diego filming for the MTV series. Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is allegedly filming for ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ Season 5B
Jersey Shore fans know the cast has been actively filming thanks to their social media posts. According to The Sun, a source close to the Jersey Shore cast said Ronnie is also filming for the second half of season 5.
The outlet reports Ronnie has “quietly been filming since late January or early February of this year.” At first, his Jersey Shore castmates weren’t sure he would be returning at all.
Right now, it’s unclear how much of the reality star fans will get to see in the new episodes. Regardless, there has been some backlash from fans about Ronnie appearing.
Ronnie left Jersey Shore: Family Vacation in May 2021 to focus on his mental health.
‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ cast filming in and around San Diego
A source told Showbiz Cheat Sheet the cast was filming at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego. Fans followed up this information with social media posts as they spotted the reality stars at various San Diego hot spots.
On Easter Sunday, TMZ caught the Jersey Shore cast at the Cordiano Winery in Escondido. According to the outlet, Ronnie and Pauly DelVecchio were missing from the outing. The famous DJ shows up in another Reddit user’s post with girlfriend Nikki Hall and Vinny’s Uncle Nino, too.
Another fan spotted the cast at Barbusa, an Italian restaurant in San Diego, sharing footage of their dinner on Reddit. Fans have also been sharing footage of the cast on Twitter. One user took a video of Angelina Pivarnick and Deena Cortese entering a bar called Tin Roof.
Another Twitter user caught a video of Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi dancing on the sidewalks of San Diego. There was also this post from Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, who took a screenshot of Vinny Guadagnino’s Instagram Stories post about Angelina.
‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ Season 5B release date estimate
Right now, it’s unclear how much footage producers plan to capture for the second half of season 5. However, the cast has been filming since the beginning of 2022, leading us to believe San Diego was their big “family vacation.”
With their San Deigo trip wrapped, fans could expect new episodes of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation as early as May 2022 or the beginning of June. According to the reality TV editor we spoke with previously, the second half of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation could be ready within four weeks after shooting wraps.

At the end of the first half of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Season 5, MTV aired a highlight reel of what’s to come in new episodes. From Pauly D’s performance at Madison Square Garden to “The Situation” going blond and a trip to El Paso, Texas, there’s a lot to come in the second half of the season.
Angelina’s divorce from Chris Larangeira will also come up in new episodes. She addresses a television Chris allegedly took from her home in the sizzle reel.
