‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ Cast Pick the Most Accurate Actors to Play Them in Fictional ‘Jersey Shore’ Movie
There’s no one quite like the cast of Jersey Shore. But the stars of the MTV reality series know who they want to play them in a movie about the show. There are no official plans for a Jersey Shore movie right now, but the cast can still dream! Find out which celebrities the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation roommates want to play them if and when a Jersey Shore movie ever becomes a reality.
‘The Late Late Show’ did a ‘Jersey Shore’ movie in 2010
In 2010, The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson gave Jersey Shore fans the spinoff movie they didn’t know they needed. At the time, the Jersey Shore cast was at the height of their popularity (before the 2018 reboot Jersey Shore: Family Vacation). So, Ferguson presented audiences with Jersey Shore: The Movie, a spoof on the popular MTV series.
The brilliantly cast parody starred Mila Kunis as Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Tom Lennon as Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino. Nick Lachey played Ronnie Ortiz-Mago in the spoof. From poofs to pickles and late-night ham, Jersey Shore: The Movie poked fun at Italian stereotypes.
‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ roommates create their dream cast for a ‘Jersey Shore’ movie
In an interview with People TV from January 2022, the cast of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation was asked who would play them in a real Jersey Shore movie. Polizzi said Kunis because, after all, she already played her once. The other roommates had some spot-on requests to play them, including Jenni “JWoww” Farley, who said Megan Fox, if only to see her wear the slingshot shirt Farley sported to the club in Jersey Shore Season 1.
“I would say Marisa Tomei,” Angelina Larangeira said. “Because I have that accent like she does.”
“I would say Sandra Bullock because I feel like she’s quirky and fun,” said Deena Cortese. “I feel like me and her have a lot in common.”
Vinny Guadagnino aptly cast Shia LaBeouf to play him in the fictional Jersey Shore movie, while Pauly DelVecchio said Adrian Grenier. Meanwhile, Sorrentino chose Mark Whalberg because “he did such a great job in Pain & Gain.”
Movies featuring the ‘Jersey Shore’ cast
While we’re probably a long way off from getting a Jersey Shore movie any time soon, there are a few films that feature the cast that can keep you entertained in the meantime. For example, DelVecchio makes a cameo appearance in Sam & Mattie Make a Zombie Movie, a documentary following Sam Suchmann and Mattie Zufelt on their 10-year quest to storyboard, cast, produce, and star in the 2016 horror movie Spring Break Zombie.
“I am so impressed with Sam and Mattie,” DelVecchio told MTV at the time. “I am honored to be a part of such a special project.”
If you’re looking for more Jersey Shore-focused content, the 2014 comedy-horror Jersey Shore Massacre was produced by Farley. Plus, some of the cast appeared in the 2012 film The Three Stooges, including Polizzi, Farley, Sorrentino, and Ortiz-Magro.
