During the “Let Your Cup Runneth Over” episode, the Sorrentinos talked about the new season potentially airing in January, about a week after the Christmas special. “It’s an estimate guys, don’t take that for a fact,” Sorrentino clarified.

Sorrentino didn’t say much about the Christmas special, but we did some digging. According to WikipediaJersey Shore: Family Vacation‘s “12 Days of Jerzmas” will air on Dec. 16, 2021.

At this time, it’s unclear what the special will include. But judging by the title, it’s safe to say the MTV special will prominently feature the roommates and their families. This is the first Christmas special for the Jersey Shore cast — in the past, they’ve done “Hottest Hookups,” “Biggest Blowups,” and “A Very Jersey Friendsgiving,” among others.

In the “Meatball Wrap-Up Special” that aired after the season 4 finale, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Deena Cortese, and Angelina Larangeira tease what’s to come in season 5. The roommates toasted to Larangeira at the end of the special, who mentioned freezing her eggs. The new season will also feature the arrival of Romeo Reign Sorrentino, according to “The Situation’s” podcast. “I’m really excited, but I feel like every season gets more — I’m always like, ‘What’s going to make it, what’s not going to make it,'” Lauren Sorrentino said. “Sometimes what doesn’t make it is like, ‘Woah.'”
