MTV has officially dropped a new trailer for season 3 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, and it looks like things are going to get pretty heated over this season’s big wedding. Cameras were on hand to catch Angelina Pivarnick and Chris Larangeira tied the knot in what appears to be a mess of a ceremony. Here’s a look at why Pivarnick cut ties with her friends following the drama-filled nuptials.

What’s ahead for ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’?

MTV is getting ready to launch the second half of season 3 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation at the end of February. The new episodes will feature our favorite characters traveling around the country to places like Las Vegas and New Orleans.

Along the way, the reality stars will be hitting the gym, relaxing in tanning beds, and, of course, drumming up some serious drama.

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, for example, will be reuniting with his co-stars following his stint in prison. This should make for some classic Shore drama, but this is hardly the only point of contention this season.

In fact, the drama is really going to heat up during Pivarnick’s wedding, which features the end of her friendships with Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Deena Nicole Cortese, and Jenni “JWoww” Farley.

The wedding drama heats up

In the Jersey Shore season 3 trailer, the footage shows a few scenes from Pivarnick’s gorgeous wedding with Larangeira. Although the two were hoping for a smooth ceremony, things took a turn for the worse during the bridal toast.

The trailer did not show too much of the toast, but we do know that things got super awkward between Polizzi, Cortese, Farley, and the bride. We still don’t know exactly what the trio said, but inside sources claim that none of their jokes landed.

“The audience at the wedding booed them,” an insider shared.

The source added that Pivarnick was very unhappy with the toast and stormed off the stage. She refused to speak to the three women during the rest of the wedding and has not reached out since.

The insider also noted that the jokes were meant to be in good fun, so it will be interesting to see what was really said that upset Pivarnick and her guests.

Polizzi issues an apology

After the wedding mishap, Polizzi issued a statement about what happened. The Jersey Shore star assured fans that they never meant to upset Pivarnick and that they were only trying to lighten the mood.

“We apologized. Obviously we weren’t being malicious about it,” she explained. “We were trying to be funny for the show and, like, in general and we apologized. She never responded back. It’s kinda, just where we’re moving on.”

According to Us Magazine, Polizzi announced her exit from Jersey Shore: Family Vacation during an appearance on The Mel Robbins Show. In the interview, she admitted that she wanted to spend more time with her children and that she was tired of all the drama.

We completely understand how Polizzi wants to focus more on being a mom that worrying about the show. And we are pretty positive that her children – Lorenzo, Giovanna, and Angelo – will appreciate her being at home more.

That said, the series will not be the same without Polizzi in front of the cameras. Hopefully, the series will be able to continue strong without her.

Is Polizzi really leaving ‘Jersey Shore’?

Although Polizzi has confirmed her departure, fans were left confused when she recently took to social media to promote the second half of season 3. Polizzi shared some images from the new episodes, leaving fans to wonder if she is really saying goodbye.

After several fans asked her if she was really going to retire, Polizzi confirmed once again that season 3 will be her final run on the show.

Fans then showed an overwhelming amount of support for Polizzi, with many saying that the series will be completely different once she is gone. There has also been some speculation that season 3 will be the last for several of the original cast members, though nobody else has confirmed their exit.

Whatever happens, at least it looks like season 3 is going to end with some serious drama, and we cannot wait to see how everything shakes out.
