‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ Fans Are ‘Disgusted’ With Angelina Pivarnick Regarding ‘Insensitive’ Clickbait
Jersey Shore: Family Vacation‘s Angelina Pivarnick recently caused an uproar amongst her fans. After sharing a fake pregnancy announcement, many Jersey Shore fans were outraged with Pivarnick. Most fans took to social media to shame Pivarnick for using a sonogram as clickbait.
Angelina Pivarnick has talked openly about not wanting children
In November 2020, Pivarnick admitted she wasn’t ready to have children yet. During an interview with In Touch Weekly, Pivarnick said she was enjoying her marriage.
“Right now, I’m not even thinking about kids,” Pivarnick told the outlet. “I’m kind of living my life.” The 34-year-old reality star said she doesn’t feel pressured to have kids just yet.
“I feel like I’m still young,” she added. “I don’t know, I’m just enjoying married life and trying to deal with this COVID thing. Taking it day by day.”
The following month, Pivarnick confused fans on social media with a faux pregnancy post.
Angelina Pivarnick fools fans with a fake pregnancy announcement
On New Year’s Eve, Pivarnick shared a photo of a baby sonogram to her Instagram with the caption: “So excited to finally share our news! #LinkInBio.”
The link took fans to an article highlighting Pivarnick’s Jersey Shore journey, including her falling out with the roommates and her marriage to Chris Larangeira. The article did not contain a pregnancy announcement. Angry fans took to Reddit to express their outrage.
‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ fans are disgusted by Angelina Pivarnick’s clickbait
This isn’t the first time Pivarnick has shared what fans dub “clickbait” on her social media. Other Jersey Shore stars, including Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, have been guilty of sharing these types of posts in the past. By sharing these articles with compelling social media posts, the reality stars are able to earn more. The celebs are paid based on the number of views (clicks) they garner.
This time, fans were especially disgusted by Pivarnick’s actions because she faked a pregnancy.
“On my Instagram feed, the post before this is a heartfelt post about someone I follow having three miscarriages this year,” a Jersey Shore fan said on Reddit. “Posting this as clickbait is absolutely disgusting and insensitive.”
“And some people on here wonder why Angelina is so disliked,” another fan said.
“I refuse to click on it ’cause I heard they get money every time so what did it say when you click it??” another fan added. Most fans agreed, saying they refuse to click on those types of links shared by the Jersey Shore cast.
The original post has been taken down, but that hasn’t stopped fans from commenting on other posts of Pivarnick’s. As of this morning, Pivarnick has disabled comments on her posts and removed any Instagram posts containing criticism for her fake announcement.
Vinny Guadagnino and Pauly DelVecchio called Angelina Pivarnick out on her pregnancy clickbait
“Prank War Champion” Pauly DelVecchio couldn’t help himself when he saw Pivarnick’s post. He shared the news to his Instagram Stories (via Reddit) writing, “Congrats [Vinny Guadagnino] and [Angelina Pivarnick],” tagging the celebrities in his share.
Naturally, Guadagnino had to re-share DelVecchio’s post. He added a few cry-laugh emojis and the hashtags: #FakeNews #SwipeUp #LinkInBio.
At this time, Pivarnick has not spoken out about her post. Stay tuned to Showbiz Cheat Sheet for the latest.
