‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ Fans Think This Roommate Got Less Relatable and Less Likable Over the Years
When MTV introduced the world to Jersey Shore‘s cast 11 years ago, the roommates were entirely different people. While everyone has undoubtedly changed over the years, some fans think there’s one roommate in particular who has changed for the worse.
The cast of ‘Jersey Shore’ has evolved over the last decade
It’s been 11 years since Jersey Shore debuted on MTV and changed the course of reality television forever. Understandably, the cast has changed in many ways over the course of time. Many of the roommates have gotten married and started families of their own.
Everyone, that is, except for Vinny Guadagnino. The “Keto Guido” is still single and ready to mingle, despite his recent flings. While fans are hopeful Guadagnino will find the right woman someday, they’re more concerned with what they perceive to be his lack of development personality-wise.
A ‘Jersey Shore’ producer says Vinny Guadagnino became arrogant as he rose to fame
A story producer who worked on Jersey Shore‘s first four seasons opened up about their experience on Reddit.
Before he became the “Keto Guido,” Guadagnino was a shy kid from Staten Island. When he met his roommates that first summer in the shore house, Guadagnino was the youngest, most soft-spoken roommate.
“Vinny was articulate and a smart young man,” the former producer revealed on Reddit. “I loved Vinny in season 1 because he was incredibly mature.”
Outside of the show, Guadagnino had an air about him though, according to this member of production.
“As the fame progressed as well as the seasons, he rode on his ego a lot,” they added. “When I would see him outside of the show, he came off as slightly rude and with his nose in the air pretty high. Arrogance isn’t cute, no matter how you slice it.”
‘Jersey Shore’ fans think Vinny Guadagnino went ‘the opposite direction’ of his roommates
In the eyes of Jersey Shore fans, Guadagnino hasn’t evolved in the same ways his roommates have over the years. He may not be settled down with a wife and kids yet, but fans aren’t focused on that. Instead, they’re bothered by how little Guadagnino’s ego.
“I feel like while the rest of the cast became more relatable and likable over the years, he went the opposite direction lol,” one fan said on Reddit.
Others agreed, writing: “Yes! You explained it perfectly. He went downhill majorly personality-wise.”
One fan attributed Guadagnino’s “lack of development” to his age.
“Well him and Nicole [‘Snooki’ Polizzi] were the babies right?” the fan inquired. “Pauly [DelVecchio] and Mike [‘The Situation’ Sorrentino] are almost 40. He’s still figuring it out [and] they mellowed.”
Still, other Jersey Shore viewers agree with the story producer from earlier seasons. “He will always be my least popular Jersey Shore cast member,” another Reddit user said. “He was mostly a nice guy season 1 then it went to his head.”
The opinions of these fans don’t seem to have any impact on the “Keto Guido.” He continues to live his life the way he wants to, regardless of how arrogant and egotistical fans might feel he is. Despite the few who think negatively about Guadagnino’s personality, he still has an undeniable fan base.
