‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ Fans Worry Nikki Hall Is Trying to Replace Snooki on the Show
The Jersey Shore may never be the same. Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino will all be back on MTV this November when season 4 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation premieres. So will Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Vinny Guadagnino, Deena Cortese, and Angelina Pivarnick. But Jersey Shore icon Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi has skipped out on the show, citing family obligations. Her absence means some viewers don’t have high hopes for the new episodes. A few are even worried that someone might be trying to replace her.

Jersey Shore made Polizzi a star, but the one-time party girl has settled down in recent years. Now married with three kids, she says she’s outgrown the show’s drama — and the drinking.
“I have to do something more positive and fun with my life,” she said in a YouTube video she posted in August.
When Polizzi announced her decision to quit filming in December 2019, she also said she wanted to spend more time with her children. “I don’t like partying three days in a row. It’s just not my life anymore. I want to be home with the kids,” she explained on her podcast, It’s Happening With Snooki & Joey.
“At 32 years old and with three kids, if I’m doing a reality show I just want it to be fun and light-hearted, and lately it’s not like that and the show is getting so dramatic,” she added.
‘Jersey Shore’ won’t be the same without Snooki, fans say
Fans have known for months that Snooki wouldn’t be returning for another season. Still, it was a shock not to see her in the first trailer for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Season 4, which MTV released on Oct. 26. Fans couldn’t help but comment on Snooki’s absence, with several arguing that the show wouldn’t be the same without her.
“The vibe is just starting to change so much,” one person commented on Instagram.
“I don’t think I can watch without snooks,” another wrote.

Snooki isn’t on the upcoming season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, but there is a fresh face on the show. Pauly D’s girlfriend Nikki Hall (from Double Shot at Love) will be making an appearance. The two can be seen kissing in the teaser for the show.
While some fans are eager to see Hall join the Jersey Shore gang, others are skeptical.
“Please Take Nikki out and put snookie back in!” one person commented when Farley shared the trailer on Instagram.
Some thought Hall hadn’t “earned” her spot on Jersey Shore, unlike The Situation’s wife Lauren Sorrentino.
“Lauren took 10 years to make [it] onto the team and she is married to Mike,” someone wrote. “Nikki need[s] to do her 10 years to be even deserving to even be part of the jersey shore ‘Family.’”
Others thought people should be more accepting of Hall. “It’s not like Nikki is replacing Snooki,” they wrote. “[H]er boyfriend just happens to be Pauly D who she lives with.”
Jersey Shore: Family Vacation premieres Thursday, Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. ET on MTV.
