In the original Jersey Shore, there are plenty of iconic scenes featuring Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino. Now, thanks to the reboot, the reality TV star has even more memorable moments from Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. Here are our top five favorite moments involving “The Situation” thus far.

Mike’s ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ proposal to Lauren Pesce 

With the help of his Jersey Shore: Family Vacation roommates, Sorrentino proposed to his college girlfriend and love of his life in season 1 of the MTV series. In the iconic episode, the roommates decorated their rental house with fairy lights, balloons, and flowers.

When Mike brought Lauren back from dinner, Vinny Guadagnino met the couple at the door, then guided them to the backyard. There, Sorrentino dropped down on one knee and proposed in front of his roommates. 

Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino reunites with the ‘Jersey Shore’ cast after prison 

In October 2018, Sorrentino was sentenced to nine months in federal prison for tax evasion. On Jan. 15, 2019, he entered the Ottsville Federal Correction Institution. His release took place on Sept. 12. MTV cameras captured the moment, including Sorrentino’s reunion with his wife. 

Plus, Sorrentino reunited with his roommates in season 3 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. “BDS is in the building!” he exclaimed when he entered the house.

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, and the rest of Sorrentino’s roommates embraced him. Their welcome-home party continued with “fun food” for “BDS” and “healthy food” for “The Situation.”

At the beginning of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Season 4, the roommates were divided. Initially, Angelina Larangeira was hurt by her roommates’ speech from her wedding, which took place at the end of JSFV Season 3.

Sorrentino took on the role of “The Mediation” and worked to understand everyone’s point of view and foster healing. With some help from his roommates and a “double booking,” Sorrentino successfully brought his roommates together.

Mike Sorrentino tosses ‘tendies’ in ‘Worst Talent Show Ever’ 

In the season 4 episode “Worst Talent Show Ever,” the Jersey Shore roommates put on a talent show for Farley’s birthday. Each of the roommates displayed their talents: Guadagnino was the MC, Larangeira gave a speech, and Sorrentino did what he does best — ate chicken “tendies.” 

Sorrentino was supposed to eat as many chicken fingers as he could in a minute. Instead, “The Situation” ended up tossing more “tendies” than he consumed. 

‘The Situation’ shares Romeo Reign with fans

In the premiere episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Season 5, Mike and Lauren share the birth of their son with fans. “We’ll be back with Romeo!” Mike tells their family dog, Mosey, on his way out the door.

After 14 hours, Sorrentino’s son is finally in his arms. “I am proud to introduce to you ‘Baby Situation,'” he tells cameras. Romeo Reign Sorrentino was born in May 2021. “Officially being ‘Big Daddy Sitch,’ officially being a dad, I’m loving every minute of it.”
