‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ Recap: ‘Deena’s Revenge’ Reveals Whose Body Is Floating in the Pool
The Jersey Shore: Family Vacation episode “Deena’s Revenge” gives fans some clarity on the presumed dead body the roommates find floating in their resort pool. Plus, Angelina and Chris Larangeira‘s sex life becomes the focus of another investigation, but not before their luggage delays create a problem for producers.
Angelina Larangeira fights with producers about leaving the resort in ‘Deena’s Revenge’
The Larangeira’s luggage was shipped separately from their private jet because there wasn’t enough room. She and Chris borrowed clothes from the Sorrentinos for the first night. But waking up the next day without their luggage was an issue.
“I’m not wearing the same clothes all day!” Angelina says while attempting to leave the resort. She wanted to stop at a nearby Walgreens for “disposable underwear” and “leggings.”
“Because of COVID, you need to go back to the room — I’m not playing,” a producer who sounds a lot like SallyAnn Salsano tells Angelina over the phone.
“I kinda feel bad for Angelina because the reason she couldn’t get her luggage on the plane is because Mike brought seven suitcases,” Vinny Guadagnino tells cameras. Eventually, the Larangeiras’ luggage arrives, but not before Angelina borrows a bathing suit from Cortese.
Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino takes on another investigation about Angelina and Chris Larangeira
Previously, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino took it upon himself to uncover what was going on in Angelina and Chris’ marriage when rumors about them breaking up surfaced. Now, he’s focused on the couple’s sex life.
In “The Not-so-International Vacation” Angelina shares she and Chris have had sex. But in “Deena’s Revenge,” Sorrentino finds inconsistencies in her story.
“Yesterday she said, ‘Yeah I just kind of rolled over,’ and that particular position is the lazy side booty, as we know,” Sorrentino explained to Pauly DelVecchio, Nikki Hall, and Guadagnino. “So today when I asked again … I immediately guessed [the position] and she said, ‘No.'”
At his wife’s suggestion, Sorrentino agrees to leave the investigating alone for now. But fans can likely expect this storyline to pop up again before the end of the season.
‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ fans were convinced someone drowned in ‘Deena’s Revenge’
Since November 2021, we’ve known the cast of JSFV played a murder mystery game at their Florida resort. We didn’t know how intense the game was, nor how committed Deena Cortese was to scaring her roommates.
After seeing the teasers for “Deena’s Revenge,” many fans thought a drowning occurred at the Isla Bella Resort where the cast of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation stayed to film season 5. But now we know the body was a trained actor hired by Cortese, who is rising in the ranks as the new Prank War Champion.
The Jersey Shore: Family Vacation roommates spot a couple fighting early in the episode. Later, Jenni “JWoww” Farley notices the same woman with another man — all part of the narrative created by the murder mystery company Cortese hired. At the end of the night, the cast passes a pool where the mystery man appears to be dead.
Other notable highlights from the episode include: DJ Pauly D’s excitement over bingo; Sorrentino’s “BDSM” outfit; and Guadagnino and Chris Buckner beating Sorrentino and Zack “24” Carpinello in bocce ball. “Deena’s Revenge” ended on a cliffhanger, so fans will have to tune in next week to see how the rest of the murder mystery game plays out.
