Since his arrest, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has been a hot topic among Jersey Shore: Family Vacation fans. After a petition to have the reality star fired from the MTV series and a seeming lack of Ortiz-Magro in the season 4 trailer, some fans wonder if the network edited “Rahn” out of the show.
Leave it to fans on Reddit to pick apart the latest trailer for season 4. After analyzing it scene by scene, some fans noticed a clue about Ortiz-Magro’s whereabouts in the new season.
‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ fans want Ronnie Ortiz-Magro off the show
On Apr. 22, 2021, the reality TV star was arrested for domestic violence charges. As details about Ortiz-Magro’s arrest came out, fans learned his girlfriend Saffire Matos made the call to authorities.
Given Ortiz-Magro’s past with toxic relationships, some fans have grown frustrated with MTV reality star’s status. Now, there’s a fan-made petition to have Ortiz-Magro removed from Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
“Ronnie Ortiz-Magro from MTV’s Jersey Shore has abused women for far too long and it’s time to put a stop to this,” reads petition to have Ortiz-Magro removed. “He needs to be FIRED from MTV.” Fans cite Ortiz-Magro’s past relationships with Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola and Jenn Harley, which the show has documented.
At this point, it’s unclear whether MTV has seen this petition. Still, some fans think MTV might already be acting on removing Ortiz-Magro from the show.
‘Jersey Shore’ cast in the trailer for season 4B
MTV announced season 4B of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation will release on June 3. After combing over the trailer multiple times, some fans saw one of the roommates appears to be missing. Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi will make her triumphant return in the new episodes, but where is Ortiz-Magro?
“He’s not even in the trailers,” one fan on Reddit says. “Like like no sight of him. He hasn’t even been tagged or made a promo post of this half of the season coming out.”
Additionally, Ortiz-Magro has yet to share the new trailer to his social media. Plus, 495 Productions, the company who brings us Jersey Shore, didn’t include Ortiz-Magro in their tags.
Ronnie from ‘Jersey Shore’ is in the ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ Season 4 trailer
After multiple views, some fans noticed Ortiz-Magro’s face in the season 4 preview. “No amount of cropping could keep Ronnie’s head from being in the trailer,” a fan shared on Reddit.
Their post includes a screenshot of some of the roommates in what appears to be a pizza shop. A massive cardboard cutout of Ortiz-Magro’s face is in the background of the shot.
While Ortiz-Magro’s head is easy to spot in the screenshot, others spent more time analyzing who Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has on his phone. “Can you tell who’s on Zoom?” a fellow fan replied.
A few Jersey Shore sleuths noticed the roommates are outside of a pizza food truck that they assume was delivered by Pauly DelVecchio and Ortiz-Magro. “It’s not a pizza place, it’s a pizza food truck most likely sent by Pauly and Ronnie because they couldn’t attend an event on the east coast due to [COVID-19],” one fan deduced.
That means the people most likely on the Zoom call are DelVecchio and Ortiz-Magro. Since his arrest took place after filming season 4 and he appears in the trailer, many fans believe Ortiz-Magro will play somewhat of a role in Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Season 4.
