‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ Season 5 Trailer Hints at Plenty of Baby Romeo, but No Ronnie Ortiz-Magro
MTV confirmed season 5 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation in September 2021. Now, fans finally have their first look at the new season. Here’s a breakdown of the teaser trailer for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Season 5.
‘Jersey Shore’ cast has an epic Dec. 16
Dec. 16, 2021 was a big day for the cast of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. MTV is airing a Christmas special reliving some of the roommates’ favorite family memories at 8 PM EST. But the cast of Jersey Shore also announced a Christmas album.
A Very Merry Jersey Shoremas is a collection of Jersey Shore-inspired Christmas songs including “Nonna Got Run Over By a Meatball” and “Jolly Old Big Daddy Sitch.” Fans can stream all six songs on Apple Music and Spotify. Plus, the JSFV Season 5 trailer dropped the same day.
‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ Season 5 trailer teases a big party for Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino
“Yes sir, we’re making up for lost time right here,” DJ Pauly D says in the first-look trailer for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Season 5. In another clip, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is dancing wearing an Eat Clean Bro flag at a backyard event with white balloons. Later, doves are released at the same event — a celebration for the end of Sorrentino’s probation, perhaps?
Romeo Sorrentino is in the ‘JSFV’ Season 5 teaser
The trailer for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation didn’t shy away from Baby Romeo. The Sorrentinos mention including their son in the show on their podcast, but now fans are even more excited.
In the trailer, Sorrentino talks about entering the “hood of parenthood.” Cut to a clip of him working out with Baby Romeo, then another of Vinny Guadagnino holding the newborn.
‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’s new season will feature relationship updates
At the end of season 4, the Larangeiras were working on their marriage. “We gotta work on our relationship — therapy is the key,” Angelina tells cameras in the season 5 teaser.
That’s not the only relationship JSFV Season 5 plans to touch on. The trailer alludes to DelVecchio asking Nikki Hall a big question. Fans will have to tune in to find out what it is!
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is missing from the ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ trailer
In May 2021, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro announced his exit from Jersey Shore: Family Vacation to focus on his mental health. The reality star and MTV “mutually agreed” that he should “seek medical treatment for mental health issues that [he] ignored for too long.” A few days later, Ortiz-Magro said he wasn’t ready for rehab.
Later, in August 2021, Ortiz-Magro said he was four months sober and ready to return to JSFV (via TMZ). Producers must feel differently because Ortiz-Magro isn’t in the trailer, confirming he isn’t in the first half of season 5.
The ‘Jersey Shore’ cast carries on without Sammi’ Sweetheart’ Giancola
Contrary to what many Jersey Shore fans have speculated since Ortiz-Magro’s exit, Giancola wasn’t part of the season 5 trailer. Since leaving the show, Giancola has been busy with her business ventures Sweetheart Styles and Sweetheart Coast.
While there seems to be no ill will between Giancola and her Jersey Shore roommates, it seems Giancola’s reality TV days are far behind her. She’s missing from the gathering Larangeira, Lauren Sorrentino, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, and Deena Cortese toast at in the teaser for season 5.
