‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ Season 5: ‘Two Baptisms and a Pet Psychic’ Has Mike ‘The Situation’ Choosing Godparents, Angelina Getting Marriage Advice From Her Dog

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino’s “Blessification” comes together in the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Season 5 episode “Two Baptisms and a Pet Psychic.” Dubbed “Squad Week,” the family gets into several events, including Baby Situation meeting Deena Cortese’s sons for the first time.

Plus, Angelina Larangeira consults with a pet psychic. Larangeira’s dog has a lot to say about her marriage to Chris! Here’s our recap of the latest Jersey Shore: Family Vacation episode. 

Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino’s ‘Blessification’ is happening

Thanks to a paperwork mishap, Sorrentino needs to redo his baptism so Baby Romeo can be baptized. Naturally, Sorrentino isn’t holding back planning this redo, dubbed the “Blessification.” In “Two Baptisms and a Pet Psychic,” Sorrentino chooses which roommates will become his Godparents.

After careful consideration, Sorrentino chooses Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Pauly DelVecchio. In his eyes, DelVecchio’s sense of responsibility and wealth make him good Godfather material. On the other hand, Vinny Guadagnino “isn’t really settled in” and therefore not a contender.

“Plus, how can you trust a man that doesn’t eat carbs?” Sorrentino says. Hurt by Sorrentino’s choice, Guadagnino makes several jabs about DelVecchio’s new title. Meanwhile, Sorrentino picks “JWoww” over Cortese because she’s a “crisis management specialist [with an] amazing back fist.”

‘Jersey Shore’ babies meet in season 5 episode ‘Two Baptisms and a Pet Psychic’ 

For the first time ever, Romeo Reign Sorrentino meets his “cousins” CJ and Cameron Buckner. This was also Cortese’s first time meeting Romeo. “I feel like he looks like Mike but with Lauren’s eyes,” she tells cameras. 

Many of the other roommates also meet Romeo for the first time in the episode, including Delvecchio and Nikki Hall. “What’s up buddy I’m your Uncle Pauly,” he tells Romeo, pointing out how he resembles Mike and Lauren equally.

Naturally, DelVecchio gifts Romeo with a mini version of his iconic megaphone. “It actually works as a prank to Mike and Laurens,” DelVecchio tells cameras, adding: “He’s going to be annoying the s*** out of them.” 

Angelina Larangeira consults a pet psychic about her marriage to Chris 

Larangeira’s marriage is still one of the main storylines in Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. Before Sorrentino’s “Blessification,” the reality star has pet psychic Teresa St. Frances over to do a reading on her dog, Peanut. According to Peanut (who has the voice of a sweet little girl), Larangeira’s marriage is in trouble. 

“Peanut’s ready to go,” St. Frances tells Larangeria. “You’re not staying here — you’re going to go to a bigger house without him.”

Larangeira bought a new house in October 2021 in Freehold, New Jersey. After signing papers on her new home, fans quickly noticed Chris’s absence from the Jersey Shore star’s social media. “There is somebody waiting,” St. Frances adds in the episode. “I see him, and I see you’ve met him already.”

Cortese jokes about the man being Guadagnino. “Imagine?” Polizzi tells cameras. “That’d be good for the show.” 

St. Frances also hears from Larangeira’s grandmother, who shares Larangeira’s “deeply private life and the secrets she had been keeping” (according to Facebook). Will her advice help Larangeira navigate the ultimatum she has in place?
