‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ Star Deena Cortese Reveals She Was Pregnant During Filming for Season 4
Since Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is not returning for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Season 4, fans were hoping that Deena Cortese would come through with all of the drunken meatball antics. However, when the news broke on Sunday that Cortese is expecting baby number two, fans quickly pointed out that she was pregnant while filming the upcoming season.
‘Jersey Shore’ star Deena Cortese announced that she is pregnant
Deena Cortese and husband Christopher Buckner told fans that their second little meatball is on the way.
“We’re so excited to announce we’re expecting Baby Buckner #2, May 1, 2021,” Cortese captioned her photos on Twitter and Instagram. “Our hearts are filled with so much love and joy! CJ is going to be the best big brother ever!!! #blessed #growingfamily Sooo, for everyone that was asking YES, YES, YES. I’m pregnant.”
The couple who wed in 2017, had their first child, Christopher John “CJ” Buckner, on Jan. 5, 2019. Her Jersey Shore Family showered the posts with congratulatory comments.
“YASSS MAWMA, so excited for you!” Snooki wrote on the Instagram photo.
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and his wife Lauren Sorrentino added congratulations.
“Best news,” Jenni “JWoww” Farley commented.
Cortese was pregnant during the filming of ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ Season 4
The Jersey Shore star told fans that filming wrapped on the upcoming season on Oct. 7, 2020, two weeks before the pregnancy announcement. The show will return on Nov. 19, 2020, with a special season where the roommates “Bring the Family.”
For season 4, Cortese, Farley, Sorrentino, Paul “Pauly D” Delvecchio, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, and Angelina Pivarnick take over an entire resort in Las Vegas, where they live their “best lives” in their “Shore” bubble, according to MTV.
“This means she was pregnant on the new season of JSFV,” one fan wrote on Reddit.
Snooki was pregnant with her first child while filming Jersey Shore Season 6, so this news is nothing new for producers. During that season, Snooki resided in a separate residence instead of the usual Shore House. For Cortese, things might work out better since the roommates are taking over an entire resort.
Snooki will not return to the MTV series
Cortese will be missing her favorite meatball in the upcoming season. Snooki announced in December 2019 that she would not return, and the star stuck to her decision.
“Just personally, for me, I can’t deal with the freakin’ drama anymore,” Snooki told her fans again this summer. “I am out.”
When the reality TV star told fans she was retiring in December, she gave several reasons. She didn’t want to leave her children, and she wasn’t having fun filming the show. Since the entire family joins the cast for the next season, it’s the drama that Snooki wants to part in.
