‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation’ Star Deena Cortese Reveals She’s Having a Baby Boy
It’s a boy for Deena Cortese! The pregnant Jersey Shore Family Vacation star recently revealed that she and husband Christopher Buckner will soon be welcoming a baby boy. The reality TV personality announced on Oct. 25 that she was expecting her second child in May 2021.
Deena Cortese had a Halloween-themed gender reveal
Cortese, 33, went with a slightly spooky gender reveal for baby no. 2. On Instagram, she shared a few photos of herself, her husband, and their son CJ in their Coco-themed Halloween costumes. The trio poses with a cake reading “Boo-y or ghoul.” A second shot shows the cake’s blue interior, revealing that the couple is expecting another boy.
“Looks like CJ is getting a little Brother !!! #boymom,” Cortese captioned the post.
The ‘Jersey Shore’ star says her son will be ‘the best big brother ever’
Cortese’s gender reveal followed her Halloween-themed pregnancy reveal a week earlier. In the social media post, she shared that she was expecting a baby due May 1, 2021.
“Our hearts are filled with so much love and joy! CJ is going to be the best big brother ever!!!,” she wrote. She also acknowledged that some people had already guessed the big news, writing “sooo for everyone that was asking YES YES YES ..I’m pregnant.”
“Anotha 1 ! Love you so much babe. To the best mama bear ever!” Cortese’s husband commented on Instagram. The couple’s first child was born in January 2019.
Cortese’s ‘Jersey Shore’ co-stars couldn’t be more excited for her
The news that Cortese is expecting didn’t come as a huge surprise to her co-stars. She was pregnant during filming for the upcoming season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, which premieres in November. In a teaser for the new episodes, Cortese reveals she’s having a baby by unfurling a bright yellow beach towel emblazoned with the words, “I’m pregnant!,” much to the delight of her friends.
“Another meatball is in the building,” says Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino.
After Cortese’s gender reveal, members of the Jersey Shore cast reacted on social media.
“Sooo exciting , congrats mawma,” wrote Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi.
“Best news,” commented Jenni “JWoww” Farley, while The Situation and his wife Lauren Sorrentino also offered their congratulations.
Cortese says she was ‘born to be a mom’
Cortese and Buckner met in 2011. He proposed on a vacation to Mexico in 2016, and the pair said “I do” the next year. Soon after, they started their family.
“I just love being a mom,” Cortese told TV Insider in 2019 after the birth of her first child. “I feel like I was born to be a mom. He is my everything. Honestly, I don’t remember my life before him. He is literally my everything. I just love him so much.”
