The ‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation’ star has known her husband for over a decade

Pivanick and Larangeira have been together on the show for a few years, and for the most part, they’ve been really committed to each other. Being on a reality series like Jersey Shore can’t be easy on a relationship, but Pivarnick and Larangeira’s long history might be the secret to their success.

In an interview with People, Pivarnick revealed that she met her husband 14 years ago, but he was always just a friend. “I had known Chris for 14 years and he says the reason he never hit on me was because I always had a boyfriend,” she said. “We both worked in the mall when we were younger, and he says he used to see me walk past with a different boyfriend every week.”

Pivarnick said that it wasn’t until a few years ago that Larangeira finally asked her out. “He asked me to come to this pool party and I went,” she told the outlet. “We started hanging out from there and we’ve been together ever since.”

They got engaged a year after they started dating

In January 2018, the Jersey Shore star announced her engagement. Pivarnick shared photographs of the proposal on Instagram. “Marrying my best friend… Sooo happy,” she captioned the picture. “The way he proposed was soo intimate and beautiful — I am excited for this year even more now !! Let the wedding planning begin.”

On his Instagram page, Larangeira posted the same photo, and in the caption, he mentioned their long history. “Who would of thought when I first met you 14 years ago that we would end up here,” he wrote in the caption. “Can’t wait to marry my best friend — I love you so much.”

Their ‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation’ wedding ended in drama

On this season of Jersey Shore Family Vacation, viewers will get to see Pivarnick and Larangeira say “I do” on their big day. The couple tied the knot on Nov. 20, 2018, at the Park Château Estate & Gardens in East Brunswick, New Jersey.

All of Pivarnick’s castmates, including Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Vinny Guadagnino, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Pauly “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio, and Deena Cortese were in attendance. All of the Jersey Shore ladies were Pivarnick’s bridesmaids, and it was their toast that provoked the ensuing drama.

From the trailer of the new season, it looks like Polizzi said something during her speech that really irked Pivarnick. On her Instagram page, the reality star posted a photo of her nuptials, tagging her new husband and writing that they needed a “total redo” of the wedding “for many reasons.”
