Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi returning to ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’
On May 11, Jersey Shore fans got some exciting news in the form of a trailer for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Season 4B. “The entire family is back together,” Deena Cortese says. “It is everything.”
By the “entire family,” Cortese means Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, too. “I’M BACK, B*TCHES!!!” Polizzi tweeted. “I’m bringing the party back when #JSFamilyVacation returns Jerzday, June 3 on #MTV.” Fans can’t wait to see Polizzi reunite with all of her roomies, including Angelina Pivarnick.
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro arrested for domestic violence
On Apr. 22, 2021, the reality TV star was placed under arrest for domestic violence charges. “We have just learned of the new allegations against Ronnie and need some additional time to further investigate,” Ortiz-Magro’s attorney Scott Leemon told TMZ at the time. “As such, we will not be making any other statements.”
According to another TMZ report, Ortiz-Magro’s girlfriend Saffire Matos is responsible for calling the authorities. “[She called the police] after they’d gotten into some type of argument that allegedly got physical,” the outlet said. “We’re told when officers arrived, they spoke to both parties and determined Ronnie was the aggressor.”
Matos reportedly had visible marks on her body when police arrived. Regardless of the incident, Matos and Ortiz-Magro have shared pictures together since his arrest a few weeks ago.
‘Jersey Shore’ fans are upset with Ronnie Ortiz-Magro
After his April 2021 arrest, some Jersey Shore: Family Vacation fans started a petition to have Ortiz-Magro removed from the show. “Ronnie Ortiz-Magro from MTV’s Jersey Shore has abused women for far too long and it’s time to put a stop to this,” the petition reads. “He needs to be FIRED from MTV.”
The petition details the “years of abuse” his celebrity status has demonstrated, including his past relationships with Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola and Jenn Harley. It’s unclear whether MTV has seen this petition, but some fans think the network might act on it.
‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ Season 4 comes back June 3; will Ronnie Ortiz-Magro be part of the show?
When fans saw the teaser for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Season 4B, many couldn’t spot Ortiz-Magro. He could be in one of the group shots, but most fans think Ortiz-Magro was edited out of the promos.
Some fans on Reddit are convinced showrunners edited Ortiz-Magro out of the footage they filmed earlier this year. “He’s not even in the trailers,” one fan on Reddit says. “Like like no sight of him. He hasn’t even been tagged or made a promo post of this half of the season coming out.”
Other fans noticed Drew Tappon, the president and executive producer at Jersey Shore’s production company 495 Productions, did not tag Ortiz-Magro in the news. Many think this is the company’s way of slowly phasing Ortiz-Magro out of the series, per the fan’s request.
