Danny Merk is glad he rented his house to the cast of ‘Jersey Shore’

Danny Merk is still the owner of the original Jersey Shore house. The famed location sits on top of the Shore Store where the roommates used to work in the first few seasons of the show.

Initially, Merk didn’t think anything would happen after producer SallyAnn Salsano came knocking at his door. But after renting his then-home to eight strangers, Merk’s life changed forever.

“I moved 10 years of our lives in a matter of one night,” Merk told the Huffington Post. Thanks to his home’s appearance on the MTV reality show, Merk’s other businesses continue to be profitable, including the Shore Store.

“Just about everyone who comes in [to the Shore Store] at least buys a T-shirt,” he told the outlet. “There’s no downside. The town’s making money. I can only say that the Jersey Shore has helped the Jersey Shore big time.”

The ‘Jersey Shore’ rental has a ton of accommodations

After seeing the roommates have a blast on the MTV series, many fans couldn’t wait to book their stay in Seaside Heights. The home, located at 1209 Ocean Terrace, sleeps up to 11 people.

The house comes with all of the amenities seen on the show. That includes a deck complete with a grill to cook late-night burgers on outback. Fans can also sit on the rooftop terrace that overlooks the Seaside Heights boardwalk. And yes, the house still features Polizzi’s coveted duck phone.
