‘Jersey Shore’ star Nicole Polizzi’s ‘The Snooki Shop’ Truck Was Shut Out of Seaside Heights
Since her time on Jersey Shore, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi has succeeded in various other business ventures. One of her most well-known endeavors is The Snooki Shop in Madison, New Jersey. However, the location of Jersey Shore’s famed shore house — Seaside Heights, NJ — has recently banned The Snooki Shop from selling in the city.
Where can you find ‘Jersey Shore’ star Snooki’s ‘The Snooki Shop’ truck?
While Snooki’s shop is located in Madison, New Jersey, her truck is a traveling store. It is an extension of the shop, and you can purchase tickets to visit the truck online. The first stop on the truck’s tour was going to be on Aug. 13, 2020, in front of the original Jersey Shore house.
However, now that the event was canceled, Snooki promises her fans they will find another town to host the truck as soon as possible.
“During the pandemic and practicing social distancing, we ask that you come shop wearing a mask,” the event read. “We are allowing two people at a time in our truck to shop at a time. We will also have racks near the truck so customers can safely shop outside.”
The truck sets up for roughly six hours when it stops in a town and gives customers specific shopping times so that it doesn’t get too crowded. Things for sale include bathing suits, cover ups, shorts, dresses, and Official Snooki Shop Merchandise.
Why was ‘The Snooki Shop’ truck event canceled in Seaside Heights, New Jersey?
Snooki shared with her followers on Aug. 3, 2020, that the event was canceled.
“Sadly, our #SnookiShopTruck event on August 13th is *CANCELLED* in Seaside Heights, NJ due to the town not allowing us to sell,” Polizzi tweeted. “We will reschedule in another town ASAP.”
The Asbury Park Press contacted the Seaside Heights Borough Administrator Christopher Vaz to find out more about the event.
“Borough ordinances do not allow trucks to sell goods in Seaside Heights without a license,” Vaz told the Asbury Park Press.
The administrator also said that he planned to reach out to Polizzi on Aug. 3, 2020, to “with the goal of getting to yes.” However, from Snooki’s tweet, it is evident that that conversation did not go well.
Snooki clapped back at 1 fan who said she shouldn’t be able to sell in Seaside Heights
“I don’t blame them for not allowing you to sell,” one fan tweeted. “They want to keep the small local (not reality TV stars) shops in business. Smart move from the town.”
However, Snooki was quick to respond to the complaint.
“I am a small business, lol,” Polizzi tweeted. “And I was bringing in traffic for The Shore Store and the entire boardwalk to support the business. But alright, Rangers Girl.”
Other fans came to Snooki’s defense, saying that she brought fame to the town while starring on Jersey Shore.
“What!!! You put that town on the map!!!” tweeted one fan. “Shame on Seaside Heights!!”
