‘Jersey Shore’: Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola Posted a Cryptic Message After Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi and Deena Cortese Mentioned Her On Instagram
The cast of Jersey Shore have been discussing Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola a lot recently — something Giancola doesn’t seem too happy about. After the former roommates said they missed her, Giancola posted a cryptic message on her Instagram Story that revealed she doesn’t feel the same way.

In an interview on April 8 with In Touch, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, and Deena Cortese discussed not having Giancola in their lives much anymore. “We haven’t spoken to her in a while,” Cortese said. “[Sammi] came to my baby shower and she met CJ and then we kind of lost touch.”
“I just think time drifted [us] apart, which sucks,” Polizzi added. When asked if they thought they would be invited to Giancola’s wedding ceremony, Farley weighed in: “She came from a TV show that she clearly doesn’t want to be a part of anymore. So, there’s probably that give and take of having us part of certain — I don’t know. I wish we could talk to her about it.”
The women of Jersey Shore wished Giancola nothing but the best, but Giancola’s Instagram Story left fans wondering if she felt the same.
Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ unfriended the ‘Jersey Shore’ roommates
In an Instagram Live on April 17 between Polizzi and Cortese, it was revealed that Giancola unfriended members of the Jersey Shore cast on Facebook.
Polizzi expressed that she held no ill will toward her former castmate, but Cortese seemed more hurt by Giancola’s recent actions. “I had her at my baby shower,” Cortese explained (via App). “I had her everywhere and then out of no where she unfollowed me on Facebook, she unfriended all of us on Facebook.” Cortese believes that Giancola didn’t unfriend the Jersey Shore crew on Instagram because she didn’t want the public made aware. “She unfriends all of us on Facebook, and she just wants nothing to do with us, which is fine. Let her do her thing and I will always wish Sam well but it did hurt my feelings and that’s it,” Cortese added.
She also expressed frustrations about being left out of Giancola’s upcoming wedding. “To be honest, I have no idea why I’m not invited to Sam’s wedding,” Cortese said. “I did nothing but speak up for her throughout all the seasons, and then all of a sudden I found out that she unfollowed me and then didn’t invite me to the wedding.”
Did Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ throw shade on Instagram?
Giancola shared a quote on her Instagram story on Monday, April 20, presumably after seeing the conversation between Polizzi and Cortese.
“Your taste in people will change as you learn to love yourself,” the quote read. Giancola jazzed the post up with a sticker that read “Facts.”
Giancola recently had to postpone her wedding due to the restrictions imposed by the coronavirus (COVID-19), which certainly means she has plenty of other things going on in her life. Giancola could likely have been addressing another friend or group of friends altogether, but considering what Cortese had to say on an Instagram Live with Polizzi, it’s likely Giancola was talking about them in her post.
Despite wishing Giancola well, it seems like Giancola didn’t take too kindly to Cortese expressing her feelings about missing out on the wedding.
