‘Jersey Shore’ Stars Snooki and Deena Say They’re Not ‘Mean’ After Angelina’s Wedding Episode Airs
For months, fans have been waiting to see how things went down at Angelina Pivanick‘s wedding on Jersey Shore Family Vacation. Now, in the season finale, viewers finally got to see Nicole Snook Polizzi, Deena Cortese, and Jenni JWoww Farley deliver the infamous wedding speech that ruined their friendship with the bride. But after watching the episode themselves, Snooki and Deena both took to social media to tell fans that they really aren’t that mean.
The infamous ‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation’ wedding speech
The whole Jersey Shore Family Vacation crew, including Ronnie Magro, Vinny Guadagnino, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, and DJ Pauly Delvecchio, were at Angelina and Chris Larangeira’s wedding. The lavish event took place in East Brunswick, New Jersey at the Park Château Estate & Gardens.
Everything is going well as the event gets started. But when Snooki, JWoww, and Deena go up to make their speech, things take an awkward turn.
“They say third times the charm — I mean, you got engaged three times, but then the third one stuck,” Deena says during the speech. “You tried living with us three times, and then you finally stayed. Not only is Chris the lucky one, but so are we.”
The three roommates then start listing off numerous disgusting things and begin comparing them to Angelina. “You’re the lice to my hair,” Deena says, to which Snooki adds, “You’re the fly to our sh*t. ”
“You are the trash to our bags,” JWoww says, with Nicole adding, “You’re the throw-up to our hangover.” But eventually, when the ladies make a statement about Angelina being a dump, in reference to Staten Island, the crowd starts booing, and Angelina doesn’t look happy.
Things go from bad to worse
In the season finale of Jersey Shore Family Vacation, fans finally get to see the aftermath of the wedding speech. Angelina doesn’t seem mad at first, but after hearing her guests boo, she starts getting upset.
“They shouldn’t have done that,” Angelina tells Chris. “That was corny. I think we should go outside and flip out, I’m not happy. I was laughing trying to laugh it off, but that was not funny.”
After realizing the room is upset about their speech, Snooki, Deena, and JWoww look visibly uncomfortable. While Pauly points out that the ladies were just making jokes that Angelina makes herself, Angelina says this wasn’t the time or place for such humor. Then, when the boys take to the dance floor to get the party going, Deena tries to apologize to Angelina with no success.
“That was very distasteful,” Angelina says to Deena. “Get away from me, it’s too soon! Just go. I want you out of my life.”
The ‘Jersey Shore’ wedding doesn’t end well
After seeing how angry Angelina is, Deena starts crying. And she says she doesn’t want to film with Angelina ever again.
“This night has been exhausting physically, mentally, and emotionally,” Deena says in a confessional. “I can’t handle all this drama. It’s not for me. It wasn’t my intention and if someone thinks I’m mean enough to do that, they clearly don’t know me.”
Snooki, who is also feeling the tension, starts getting upset. And she announces that she’s done with the show altogether.
“I just love my roomies, always,” Snooki says in a confessional through tears. “Jersey Shore is literally my life. I never would’ve met my best friends. So the fact that it has to end like this, really sucks for me.”
The episode ends with major tension between the roommates, with Angelina revealing she won’t be forgiving her friends anytime soon.
Deena and Snooki insist they aren’t mean
After the episode aired, both Deena and Snooki took to social media to clear the air. In a lengthy post, Deena revealed that she’s gotten threats over the speech, and just wants people to know she meant no ill will.
“This was one of the most dramatic things I’ve been a part of filming,” Deena wrote in her Instagram story. “If you all watch the show, you know I don’t have a mean bone in my body and my heart is in the right place — I wish the finale didn’t end this way, but you can’t go back in time.”
Snooki also addressed the episode on her Instagram page. In a brief story, she clarified that she didn’t mean any harm.
“I want you guys to know that we are not mean people,” Snooki says in the post. “And we would never, ever, ever try to ruin Angelina’s wedding. So, it is what it is, and that’s how it played out.”
Now that this season of Jersey Shore Family Vacation is over, it’s unclear how things will go between the roommates going forward. Hopefully, they’ll put their issues behind them and return for another season.
