‘Jersey Shore’: Why Isn’t Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi’s Husband, Jionni LaValle, Ever On TV?
For years, the Jersey Shore cast has remained relevant in the reality television world. Even after the show ended, the most popular cast members became part of spinoffs, and fans couldn’t get enough. After calling for the cast to reunite, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation was created.
Most of the cast’s partners have made frequent appearances on the show. But Jionni LaValle, Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi’s husband, is never anywhere to be found. Why?
Polizzi met LaValle during filming for ‘Jersey Shore’ season 3
The Jersey Shore cast would party most nights of filming, and occasionally, they each brought someone back to the house after a night at the club. For the most part, none of these short-lived romances ever lasted beyond the sunrise. But Polizzi ended up meeting the man of her dreams; she and LaValle met at a nightclub in season 3, and she brought him back to the house.
After their first meeting, Polizzi didn’t seem to have any desire to see him again. However, later that year, the two announced they had officially started dating.
LaValle appeared on Polizzi’s spinoff show with Jenni Farley
We might not see much of LaValle now, but he did play a significant role on Polizzi and Jenni ‘JWoww’ Farley’s Jersey Shore spinoff, Snooki & JWoww. The show followed the two women as they navigated married life and started families of their own.
LaValle made appearances on the show, but he has said in the past that the reality TV life just isn’t for him. When Jersey Shore: Family Vacation was announced, LaValle said fans wouldn’t see him during filming.
LaValle chooses to remain away from the spotlight
Polizzi has been criticized for not showing off her husband on camera or on social media, but LaValle made it clear in a statement that he didn’t want to be in the spotlight.
“I am choosing to not be on TV because I simply do not like it,” LaValle wrote, according to In Touch. “Being a reality star was never something I wanted to be when I grew up.” LaValle also clapped back at trolls who claimed that he and Polizzi were on the road to divorce. “Nicole and I are doing great and became even stronger together while raising our beautiful kids… We are not divorced.”
Polizzi recently took herself out of the spotlight as well
Earlier this year, Polizzi made the decision to leave Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. The mother of three wants to focus on being a mom and look toward the next chapter of her life. Polizzi currently owns The Snooki Shop in Madison, New Jersey, and she just recently announced a new line of baby goods through Buy Buy Baby. Though Polizzi made her fortune in reality television, it doesn’t seem like she wants to be tied to it for life — and neither does her husband.
