Jersey Shore: Family Vacation‘s Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has been out of the spotlight since his exit from the MTV series. But the reality TV star was spotted with another MTV celebrity from Double Shot at Love Season 2 in Delray Beach, Florida. ‘Jersey Shore’ star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has been off the grid since his exit from the MTV reality series
Ronnie is still taking a break from the MTV reality series. He first revealed he was stepping away from the show in May 2021.
“After talking to the team at MTV, we have mutually agreed that I will step away from the show while I seek medical treatment for mental health issues that I’ve ignored for too long,” he wrote in his Instagram Stories. “My number one goal now is facing my struggles head-on.”
A few days later, a source close to the MTV star said he wasn’t ready to pursue rehab yet. Later in August 2021, Ronnie told TMZ he was ready to return to film more of season 5.
Ronnie appeared in the season 5 premiere of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation when he asked for permission to marry Saffire Matos. He has not appeared in any other episodes of season 5, and it’s unclear if he’s filming with the rest of the cast at publication.
‘Double Shot at Love’ star Antonio Locke attends ‘Jersey Shore’ brunch
On Mar. 20, Antonio Locke, known by Double Shot at Love fans as “Pool Party Papi,” attended a Jersey Shore club brunch at Tin Roof in Delray Beach, Florida. “Raaaahhhhnn” wrote over a photo of him and Ronnie at the event, which Antonio shared on his Instagram Stories and Twitter.
Ronnie wasn’t tagged in the post so he couldn’t share it to his own Instagram Stories. However, the reality star has been quiet on social media since his break from filming. He has only shared two clips from previous seasons of Jersey Shore and Jersey Shore: Family Vacation in the last few weeks.
‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ Season 5B might feature Ronnie’s return
“I’ll be back,” Ronnie told TMZ in August 2021, though he wasn’t clear on when. “All the fans love me and I love them too, so I’m gonna give them what they want and I’ll see them soon.”
He affirmed his run on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation is “definitely not over,” adding how he hopes to return in “the end of season 5.” According to the casts’ social media, they’re currently in the process of filming the second half of the season.
Photos of the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation cast started circulating on Reddit after one user posted: “The cast spotted filming at a bar in El Paso.” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Pauly DelVecchio, Vinny Guadagnino, Deena Cortese, and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino were there, but no Ronnie.
