Many of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s older kids have families of their own, and Jessa Duggar’s one of them. Jessa and husband Ben Seewald have three adorable children, and they frequently share photos and videos of their family with their Instagram and YouTube followers.

Ivy Jane Seewald is the newest addition to the family. She just turned a year old, and she looks exactly like Jessa. To celebrate Ivy’s first birthday, Jessa posted a video of her baby girl to Instagram. But one fan had questions regarding bumps that appeared on Ivy’s head. Here’s how Jessa shut the comment down immediately.

Jessa Duggar’s gotten candid with her followers when it comes to parenting her daughter, Ivy

It’s not easy taking care of three kids, and Jessa’s brought her followers along with her the entire time. Her oldest son, Spurgeon, is 4, and the middle child, Henry, is 3. Now that Ivy’s in the mix, it’s changed up the dynamic of the household significantly.

“When you’re adding a new baby into the family, it can feel like a huge transition in a lot of ways,” Jessa explained to the TLC cameras. “And if there are older siblings, sometimes they can go through sort of a transitional phase, just adjusting to a new normal.”

It seemed like Henry needed the most time adjusting to Ivy’s presence. Jessa told the cameras that the little boy liked to sit on Jessa’s lap, and he wasn’t too happy that he had to take turns with Ivy. Thankfully, Jessa was able to set some time aside for all of her young kids individually so they all felt included in the family.

Jessa’s no stranger to fan criticism

Having a public life means hearing serious backlash from fans. And Jessa’s become quite good at combating the hate and calling it out when she sees it. From her parenting strategies to her messy home, Jessa always has a witty response to those who dare challenge her on social media.

Back in 2019, a follower questioned what she does for a living. To that, she gracefully answered, “I’m currently caring for 3 kids 3 and under. 24/7, 365. Still gotta work on sick days, and vacations too for that matter. It’s hard work, but so rewarding. Honestly though, I feel so blessed to be able to stay at home with them! I know not every mother has that opportunity.”

More recently, when the Duggar sisters spent a day shopping, a fan commented to Instagram, “… The men act like Neanderthals that it is only the women that should look after the children.” And Jessa had a great response to it.

“You know, I’ve been thinking the same thing,” she started. “Only Neanderthal men would refuse to breastfeed their infants so their wives can spend the entire day out dining and shopping.”

She just clapped back at a follower who commented on Ivy’s head

It looks like fans are now concerned about Ivy’s appearance. Jessa posted a video of Ivy on her first birthday, and it shows the toddler singing. “She turned one three weeks ago, and ever since then she has been in love with the song ‘Happy Birthday,'” Jessa captioned the post. “She toddles around the house singing ‘Happa-buh-to-you,’ and it is just too cute.”

To that, a follower commented, “Got some nice bumps on her head.”

Jessa answered, “Mosquito bites from playing outside. Bless her!”

Others wrote beneath the first comment in support of Jessa’s clap back.

“That was a tad rude,” a fan added. “Maybe next time think before you comment.”

It looks like Jessa’s at it again when it comes to defending herself and her children. We’re sure we’ll see plenty more of this in the future!
