Jessa Duggar Says Her Daughter, Ivy Jane, Is a ‘Happy’ and ‘Easygoing’ Baby
Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald welcomed their third child, Ivy Jane, last spring. And these days, the family has been cooped up inside like the rest of us amidst the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Duggar has been documenting some of her exciting times with her three kids, and fans can’t help but notice how laid back her little girl seems. Duggar recently spilled the beans on what Ivy Jane is really like.
Duggar and Seewald welcomed their first daughter last year
Duggar is one of 19 kids, so big families are encouraged among her and her siblings. Duggar and Seewald were married back in 2014, and they welcomed three children in the first five years after they wed. Last winter, Duggar announced that she and Seewald were expecting baby no. 3; the two were thrilled to learn that they were having a girl after having had two boys.
Though they were so excited, the two opted to keep their baby’s gender a secret from the rest of the family until their daughter was born.
Duggar’s three children seem to get along so well
These days, Duggar spends a lot of time at home with the three kids. She is a stay at home mom who cares for the little ones while Seewald goes to work, so she loves showing off how the kids play together. And from what fans can see on social media, Spurgeon, Henry, and Ivy Jane all have nothing but love for each other.
Spurgeon and Henry are constantly playing together, and Spurgeon, who is Duggar’s oldest child, seems extra protective over his little sister — it’s the sweetest thing.
Duggar said that Ivy Jane is ‘easygoing’ and ‘happy’
Duggar loves showing off photos of Ivy Jane, and it’s clear that having a daughter has had a positive impact on her. She’s started posting photos of her and Ivy — sometimes even wearing matching outfits, which she said she was never one to do. Duggar recently posted a video of her three kids during the quarantine, and fans were amazed at how laid back the baby seemed.
“Ivy seems like a very easy baby,” one user wrote — and Duggar responded to echo the comment. “So easygoing. She’s a happy baby!” Duggar wrote. Ivy Jane appears to be easily entertained, which likely helps — she seemed to enjoy the water table in another one of Duggar’s videos featuring the kids.
The couple will likely have more kids
Right now, Duggar and Seewald appear to have their hands full with three kids. But all things considered, the kids seem to be very relaxed and easily distracted by games and toys. Duggar has said in the past that she wants to adopt children, so that might still be on the table for the two. Plus, since Duggar comes from such a large family, it’s expected that she’ll have quite a few kids of her own — she already has three at 27. Time will tell if (and by how much) these two might decide to expand their family.
