Jessa Seewald Joins the Duggar Family Baby Boom
Jessa Seewald will not be left out of the Duggar family baby boom. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s 5th child has joined the ranks of several other Duggar family members planning to welcome a baby in 2025. The former reality TV star shared the big news on Instagram.
Jessa and Ben Seewald will be a family of eight soon
Jessa and Ben Seewald are adding another baby to the Duggar family grandchild count. The former reality TV star took to Instagram on March 7 to announce she is expecting her sixth child. While the former reality TV personality didn’t share many details about the pregnancy, we can basically figure out her due date.
In the update, Jessa said that she was “halfway” to holding her newest addition. If Jessa was exactly halfway through her pregnancy when she posted the announcement, she should be due in late July. It is unclear if she is expecting a boy or a girl, but some Duggar family followers assume the pink heart in the post indicates a baby girl is on the way.
Jessa and Ben Seewald are currently the parents of two girls and three boys. Their first son, Spurgeon Elliot Seewald, was born in 2015. Henry Wilberforce Seewald joined the family in 2017. In 2019, Jessa and Ben welcomed their first daughter, Ivy Jane Seewald. Two years later, they announced the birth of Fern Elliana Seewald. 2023 brought the birth of baby number 5. George Augustine Seewald was born in December 2023.
Could Jessa Seewald have the most children in the family?
Several of the Duggar kids have been open about their decision to use birth control and limit their family sizes. Jessa Seewald is not one of those siblings, leaving Duggar family followers to wonder if she could have the most children in the family. While Jessa doesn’t seem interested in limiting her family size, it is unlikely that she’ll be the Duggar family member with the most children. Jedidiah Duggar and Joseph Duggar appear to be having children at a quicker pace, which means they could, in theory, welcome as many children as their parents.
While Jessa is unlikely to have the most kids in the family by the time she and Ben are done expanding their pack, she likely will have the most kids for a short time soon, assuming all goes according to plan. Jessa is set to overtake Anna Duggar for the most children in the next few years. Anna Duggar, who married Josh Duggar in 2008, currently has the most Duggar grandchildren with seven. Since Josh is locked up for the foreseeable future, she won’t be adding any other children to her family. In theory, Jessa could surpass her by 2029. That is when her hypothetical 8th child would be born, if she continues to welcome a baby every two years.
