Jessica Biel Reunites With ‘7th Heaven’ Co-Star Beverley Mitchell
Mary and Lucy Camden, together again.
Jessica Biel and Beverley Mitchell enjoyed a mini 7th Heaven reunion on the red carpet at the 16th Annual Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show on Nov. 16. The actors were both there to support the Global Down Syndrome Foundation. The event in Denver raised money for medical care and research for people with Down syndrome.
Jessica Biel and Beverley Mitchell enjoy a ‘magical evening’
Biel and Mitchell posed for a photo together at the event, with Biel looking elegant in a sleek black gown while Mitchell stunned in a strapless black-and-white geometric patterned dress.
“Last night was truly special at the #BeBeautifulBeYourself fashion show,” Biel wrote on Instagram. “Walking the runway with my amazing niece @lovelyzayab was an unforgettable honor. Huge thanks to the @globaldownsyndrome foundation for creating such a profound, empowering event and for all the incredible work you do. My heart is so full.”
“What an incredible night and it was my honor to support you and @lovelyzayab,” Mitchell commented on Biel’s post. “Thank you for allowing me to be a part of the family! And @globaldownsyndrome you knocked it out of the park! A magical evening with the most magical people!”
Biel’s 5-year-old niece, Zaya Biel, was the 2024 Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show Ambassador. Champions star Woody Harrelson received the 2024 Quincy Jones Exceptional Advocacy Award. Other celebs in attendance at the event included actors Laura Linney and Adelaide Kane and director Bobby Farrelly.
Biel and Mitchell co-starred on ‘7th Heaven’
Biel and Mitchell starred together on 7th Heaven, which aired from 1996 to 2007, first on The WB and then on The CW. The family drama followed a minister and his wife who were raising their seven kids in a California town. The show was known for its wholesome Christian-flavored storylines, and fans were stunned when Stephen Collins, who played pastor dad Eric Camden, admitted in 2014 to having sexually abused multiple female minors.
Earlier this year Mitchell and fellow Camden kids David Gallagher (who played Simon Camden) and Mackenzie Rosman (who played Ruthie Camden), launched a 7th Heaven re-watch podcast, Catching Up With the Camdens. In the first episode, Mitchell assured listeners that Collins would not be a guest on the podcast, which has already featured appearances by cast members Barry Watson and Catherine Hicks.
Biel has also not appeared on the podcast, nor was she in attendance with the rest of the cast at 90s Con in Florida in September 2024. But she still keeps in touch with Mitchell.
“Jessie and I see each other often, cause obviously,” Mitchell told Entertainment Tonight at the season 2 premiere of Cruel Summer in 2023. “Like, she’s my bestie, she’s my ride or die.”
