Jill Duggar Just Thanked an Instagram Follower for Being ‘Concerned’ About Her Life
The Duggar family has been on television for so long that many fans feel like they’ve grown up with many of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s kids. From 19 Kids and Counting to Counting On, we’ve watched Jessa, Jinger, and Joy-Anna (just to name a few) go through courtships, marriage, and start families of their own. But Jill’s life remains steeped in drama.
Jill and her husband, Derick Dillard, are no longer featured on Counting On. And Derick recently took to Instagram to spill some tea on the family. Meanwhile, Jill’s talking about how difficult life can be when caring for two young children — and she reminded a concerned Instagram follower that they don’t have to worry about her life. Here’s what she said.
Jill Duggar hasn’t made any mention of the current Derick Dillard drama
There’s a major controversy going on via Derick’s Instagram. At the end of 2019, a fan asked Derick if he and Jill ever see the Duggars anymore — and no one could’ve expected him to give away as much info as he did. According to him, he and Jill, as well as their two kids, Israel and Samuel, still see Jill’s side of the family, but “it’s just harder now because we’re not allowed at the house when JB isn’t there.”
Derick went on to explain that he and Jill need express permission from Jim Bob before entering the Duggar family home. “Jill even had to ask JB permission to go over to the house to help her sister when she was in labor because her sister wanted her help, but Jill couldn’t provide the assistance until we got it cleared with JB,” he said.
Not only that, but Derick also went on to claim that TLC pressured Jill to continue filming Counting On despite the abuse she endured as a child. And while he still loves and cares for the Duggars, it’s clear their relationship is quite strained. As for Jill, she hasn’t made any comments of her own.
She’s sharing her struggles being a mother of 2
There’s no doubt Jill knows what’s happening over on Derick’s Instagram. Instead of commenting on everything that’s going down regarding her family drama, however, she’s giving her followers more insight into her life as a busy mom of two.
Jill talked to her camera on her Instagram Story and explained how she was giving herself some time for personal devotion. But she also went into detail regarding how difficult it can be to get Israel and Samuel to nap.
“Does anybody else feel like whenever you are trying to get your kids down for naps … it’s, like, super stressful sometimes and then also I have to tell myself to gear up for when they wake up from naps because sometimes that’s the other stressful time …,” Jill explained.
Jill also made an entire Instagram post about her struggles. “To any fellow mamas out there who are dealing with the crazy before naps….I hear ya!” she captioned her post. “Like my friend @sierrajodominguez says ,’Choose joy, speak life & keep marching.’ …which btw I didn’t do all of….lol…I think there may have been some yelling and lectures mixed in there too this mornin’.”
Jill just commented back to a follower who’s showing ‘concern’ about her life
Jill frequently gets candid with her Instagram followers, but some are showing concern.
“Jesus, Jill put Izzy in school, Sam in daycare and go back to school or work. Your story is beyond heartbreaking,” one follower commented on the post. “It’s OKAY not to be a stay at home mom, it’s okay not to like it, but it’s not okay to be constantly overwhelmed and sad. You need to be happy too and if that’s outside the home, that’s okay! You raised your parents kids for enough years at home, you deserve to focus on yourself now.”
To that, Jill actually commented back with a lengthy reply.
“Thanks for being concerned. I do love my current job at home with the boys tho and totally get that there will be some crazy times for everyone, no matter if you work at home or outside of home,” she wrote. “We do revaluate goals regularly, but we also understand that to everything there is a season and right now although at times it’s stressful, I’m actually quite content with where I’m at.”
We’re hoping Jill is being truthful when she says she’s content. But more importantly, it’s clear she reads the comments on Instagram, so she definitely knows everything her husband is saying about her family. Will she ever acknowledge all of that drama? We’re not sure.
