Jill Duggar Visits Pet Store for ‘Therapy’ as Josh Duggar’s Trial Continues
Josh Duggar’s trial on child pornography charges entered its second week on Dec. 6. The 33-year-old, who previously appeared on the TLC reality series 19 Kids and Counting, has been charged with one count each of receiving and possessing child pornography. He faces up to 20 years in prison on each count. His sister, Jill Duggar, may be called to testify in the case.
While it’s still unclear if Jill will take the stand, she appeared to be preparing for the possibility by spending some quality time with a few furry friends. Over the weekend, the mom of two and her husband Derick Dillard visited a pet store with their two sons. In a video she shared on social media, she referred to the visit as “good therapy.”

On Dec. 5, Jill shared a video on her Instagram Story of herself, Derick, and their two kids visiting a pet store.
“We visited a pet store today to love on the cute puppies,” the former Counting On star wrote.
In the next video, she and Derick speak to the camera. “They’re definitely good therapy, right?” Jill says with a laugh. In the past, Jill has spoken about therapy and how it has been helpful in dealing with a rift between her and some members of her large family.
The kids then played with an English bulldog at the store before heading home to spend time with their own dog.
The former ‘Counting On’ star is a potential witness in Josh Duggar’s trial
Jill’s social media update came in the middle of her brother’s high-profile trial. The 30-year-old was included on a list of potential witnesses in the trial, which began Nov. 30 at the federal courthouse in Fayetteville, Ark. Her younger brother Jedidiah Duggar was also on the witness list. It was not clear if the siblings would be called by the prosecution or the defense. However, many Duggar family followers assumed the prosecution would call Jill due to her past with Josh.
In 2015, Jill and her sister Jessa Duggar revealed in an interview with Megyn Kelly (via YouTube) that Josh had molested them when he was a teenager. The judge in the current case has ruled that the prosecution could introduce evidence related to those previous molestation allegations.
Will Jill Duggar testify in her brother’s trial?
While Jill was named as a possible witness, it is looking less likely that she will take the stand. On Dec. 6, the prosecution rested its case after calling two Duggar family friends, Bobye Holt and her husband Jim Holt, KNWA reported.
Bobye Holt testified about a 2003 conversation during which Josh spoke about molesting multiple girls. Jim Holt spoke about a 2010 conversation where Josh asked about installing a Linux partition on a computer. The hard drive of Josh’s work computer had been separated with such a partition. Investigators found the child sexual abuse material on the “hidden” Linux side of the computer.
Josh Duggar’s trial is expected to end Tuesday, Dec. 7, according to a report from KNWA (via Twitter).
