The Duggar family feud has been brewing for more than a year, but it seems as though the supersized clan is about to self-destruct. More and more family members have begun to speak, albeit subtly, on the drama between the Dillards and the Duggars, and it looks like sides have been taken. In recent weeks Jessa Duggar has all but called her sister, Jill Duggar, a liar, and now Jill’s former buddy, Joy-Anna Duggar, has joined in.

Joy-Anna liked a comment that suggested Jill and Derick were the ones to drop the Duggar family

There is no loyalty in the buddy system. Joy, Jill’s former buddy, has weighed in on the Duggar/Dillard drama, and it’s clear that she is taking her parents’ side. In a recent Instagram comment, a fan questioned why Jill and Derick Dillard never seem to be invited to family events. Joy didn’t bother to comment, but another commenter was happy to speculate. They claimed that Jill and Derick are the ones that don’t want to spend time with the Duggars. Joy was quick to like the comment, which led family followers to speculate about her stance regarding the feud.

Family followers had long assumed Joy quietly took Jill’s side, as Jill was the one who took care of her as a child. Joy was Jill’s first buddy, point out Reddit users. Jill was also paired up with James Duggar and Jennifer Duggar, the family’s 13th and 17th children, respectively. James and Jill appear to enjoy a close relationship still.

Joy’s commentary backs up older sister Jessa’s previous claim

Joy didn’t come right out and suggest Jill was lying. That seemed to be Jessa’s job. Jessa, the most outspoken of the Duggar clan, recently suggested Jill and her husband, Derick, along with their two boys, are often invited to family events but have chosen to decline. Jill and Derick insisted that was not the case, claiming they haven’t been informed about family events in years.

Jessa has emerged, in recent months, as the family’s unofficial public relations specialist. Every time Derick speaks out about the Duggars, Jessa attempts to offer alternative content. Two YouTube videos about Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar appeared to be the most transparent attempt at spin to date. Both videos, each more than 40-minutes long, recounted Jessa’s favorite childhood memories with her parents. The videos were released shortly after Derick called out Jim Bob for hoarding earnings from the family’s shows, 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On.

Joy also doesn’t seem to connect with Amy Duggar despite the proximity

Joy’s stance on the Duggar/Dillard feud came as a big surprise to family followers, but in the end, it probably shouldn’t have. Joy seems pretty heavily invested in remaining close to the majority of her family. Joy appears to have limited contact with another rebellious member of the family already. Amy Duggar King and Joy seem to have almost no relationship, despite being literal neighbors.

Amy and Joy live next door to each other, but Amy is never featured on Joy’s Instagram, and Joy is never featured on Amy’s social media pages. It would seem like they never see each other. Amy, however, remains close to Jill. In fact, the family’s rebellious cousin has spent months defending Jill and welcoming her and Derick into the fold when most of the Duggars seemed eager to shut them out.
