Jill Duggar’s Instagram Story Shows She Didn’t Celebrate Michelle Duggar’s Birthday
Jill Duggar is officially one of the most talked-about in the Duggar family. Her husband, Derick Dillard, took to Instagram and other publications to share how Jill is on the outs with her famous family, particularly with Jim Bob Duggar. And it seems Jill didn’t do much to celebrate her mom’s birthday, either. Here’s what we noticed on Instagram.
Several Duggar family members wished Michelle Duggar a happy birthday
Michelle Duggar is well-known for having 19 children with Jim Bob Duggar. And she recently had a birthday, as Jim Bob, Jana, and many other Duggars took to Instagram to post about it.
“Michelle is a wonderful friend, encourager, mentor, role model, wife and mother!” Jim Bob wrote in his birthday Tribute posted to Instagram on Sept. 13. “Her Christlike love for family, friends, and even strangers is a beautiful sight. She seemingly never tires of encouraging others through her words and actions, praying for others, and loving on those around her.”
Jana and Jinger also created their own sweet posts for Michelle’s special day. “Happy birthday to this beautiful woman that I am blessed to call Mom!” Jinger captioned her post. “She is the sweetest, most gracious, godly woman I know! I love you so much, Mama!” And Jana echoed these same sentiments in her post.
Joseph and Kendall Duggar also commented on Jim Bob’s post. “Happy Birthday!” they wrote. “We love you so much!!!! We are so blessed to have such an amazing momma/momma-in-love.”
Jill Duggar is notoriously on the outs with her family
Jill’s fans have noticed she’s seemingly been on the outs with the other Duggars since the end of 2019. And it’s Derick who’s stepped in to explain Jill’s situation. According to Derick, he and Jill didn’t actually want to film on Counting On after a certain point, but they were pressured by TLC to continue. And he also threw Jim Bob under the bus heavily, as he noted Jill needs special permission from her father before going over to the large Duggar family home.
Now, it looks like Jill and Derick rarely take part in family events. And Derick also noted that Jim Bob seems to have cut Jill off from her siblings, particularly the younger ones who remain under Jim Bob and Michelle’s roof.
As for Jill, she hasn’t broken her silence regarding the controversy yet. But she has taken strides that prove she’s paving her own way, as she’s sending her kids to public school, dressing how she wants, and proving she’s just fine without involvement with TLC.
Jill didn’t appear to spend any time with Michelle on Michelle’s birthday
While Jill and Jim Bob don’t appear to have a great relationship, Jill and her mom might still be OK. But it doesn’t look like Jill spent time with Michelle on Michelle’s birthday. Jill didn’t make any loving birthday posts attributed to her mother, and her Instagram Story shows her out with Derick and her kids instead of with her mom.
“At the creek enjoying the last of the weekend,” Jill captioned her Instagram Story. Her story then showed Sam, her youngest son, playing on the rocks while Israel, her oldest son, “fished” in the creek.
“Everybody’s having fun,” Jill says behind the camera. She then panned over to Derick, who also verified that their whole family was having a blast.
In another part of her Story, Derick reenacted a part of a movie he and Jill watched, and Jill can be heard laughing behind the camera. After that, Jill explained that Derick helped her “get some greenery” for the house by picking plants by the creek.
“It’s cheaper than Hobby Lobby,” Derick added.
While Jill, Derick, and the kids all seemed to have a blast at the creek, Michelle clearly didn’t spend the day with them. And, since Jill didn’t seem to post about her mother’s birthday on Instagram, this really makes us wonder where they stand.
