Jinger Vuolo Just Assumed She’d Have as Many Kids as Possible Before Meeting Jeremy Vuolo
Jinger Vuolo is currently pregnant with her third baby. This pregnancy might very well be her last. The former TV personality isn’t willing to have as many children as possible, nor does she think it’s a sound choice for most people. Still, that revelation is relatively new. There was a time in her life when Jinger figured she would be a mother to a dozen or more kids simply because that’s what people in her social circle did.
Jinger Vuolo reveals that she did once believe she’d have many children
Jinger Vuolo has done a lot of work to disentangle herself from her parents’ belief system. She recently opened up about how her thoughts on parenthood have changed over the years. In a recent episode of her podcast, The Jinger & Jeremy Podcast, Jinger revealed that she assumed she’d have “as many kids as possible” because that was the only option presented to her by her parents. During an appearance on The Unplanned Podcast, Jinger admitted the idea of having kids scared her. She explained the expectations placed on her by the ultra-conservative Christian ministry the Duggar family belonged to made her scared to even start a family.
By the time Jinger and Jeremy married, she seemingly let go of the notion that she’d have many kids. In a recent interview with People, Jinger revealed that she and Jeremy often discussed having three or four children. They are expecting their third, and Jinger is open to the idea that baby #3 will be the last to join her family.
Jill Dillard and her husband also have limited the number of kids they have
Jinger isn’t the only Duggar family member who has decided to limit her family size. Jill Dillard has also previously discussed feeling like she had no other option but to have as many children as possible when she was young. Jill and her husband, Derick Dillard, welcomed two children relatively quickly after their 2014 wedding. A serious complication during her second delivery led to a lot of soul-searching and some tough decisions.
She opened up about the trauma of her second delivery and how it informed her decision in her book. She also discussed how Jim Bob Duggar responded to the possibility that she couldn’t have more kids in Counting the Cost.
Derick and Jill did go on to welcome a third child together, but they are actively planning their family now instead of letting nature take complete control of their family size. They probably won’t have a massive family, either, and both seem content with that.
