Joanna Gaines’ father, Jerry Stevens, served in the army in the late 1960s. He later began working with Firestone. He was promoted several times throughout his career. One of his jobs was at the Firestone tire store in Waco, Texas, where Joanna met Chip. Joanna recently honored her dad in a heartwarming post for Veteran’s Day last year. “Happy Veterans Day and thank you to all who served and sacrificed for this beautiful country of ours. And to my favorite Veteran of all, my dad and my hero. I love you,” she wrote.

Joanna Gaines’ parents, Jerry and Nan Stevens were married more than four decades ago. The couple met at a party in Seoul, Korea. In an Instagram post, Joanna said her parents have always inspired her.

Why Joanna Gaines’ father was reportedly under investigation
A prostitution ring was reportedly found at two massage parlors in Waco, Texas, according to Radar Online. The event, which reportedly took place in December 2017, yielded video surveillance in two Waco, Texas massage parlors, allegedly showing men paying for sexual activity with massage parlor employees.
The publication says authorities investigated whether Jerry was part of the bust after rumors of his involvement began circulating around town. Detective Joseph Scaramucci of the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office told Radar Online that Jerry was initially investigated in response to the rumors. However, the detectives said he was not identified in any video footage, and no charges have been filed.
The detective told Radar Online that just because Jerry wasn’t seen on the footage doesn’t mean he wasn’t there. Scaramucci is reported as saying “numerous people” were rumored to be part of the prostitution ring, but there’s no video tape of them. “I’m not saying it’s not possible any of them were ever there, I just have no evidence to corroborate that,” said Scaramucci.
