Joanna Gaines Shared Preview of ‘Magnolia Table’ and Some Fans Think She’s Turning Into Chip Gaines
Joanna Gaines is the face of Magnolia Table, her cooking show on Magnolia Network. The interior designer turned celebrity chef cooks delicious meals inspired by the ones her family loves. When she started the show she felt a little timid but as season 5 airs, Joanna’s goofy side is showing up and some fans think she’s turning into her husband Chip.
Joanna Gaines shows her fun side
The interior designer was always the serious one on Fixer Upper compared to Chip. However, on Magnolia Table, Joanna has been getting more comfortable in front of the camera and showing her fun side. Fans that follow the celebrity cook on Instagram have seen glimpses of this roller skating around her home or tumbling down a slope on a sled. Joanna is showing her quirky personality and her followers are noticing it.
On Instagram, Joanna shared a video of Magnolia Table where she was seen being silly and funny before the cameras started rolling. Fans couldn’t get enough and thought she was turning into Chip.
“She’s turning into Chip,” a fan noted while another one replied, “My thoughts exactly.”
“My love runs deep for you Joanna Gaines,” a follower added.
“I love Joanna, she is so down to earth,” an Instagram user mentioned.
“So cute!! Love how you freely embody your playful brilliant feminine! Yay you,” another fan said.
“I love that you’ve come out of your comfort zone, you’re sooo much Fun!! Love watching you & Chip,” another follower commented.
“Chip would be proud,” another Instagram user mentioned.
Chip and Joanna Gaines balance each other
Despite Chip and Joanna having different personalities, they seem to be the perfect balance for each other. In 2021, the couple opened up to Oprah Winfrey on the show Super Soul where they talked about their relationship and how they make it work.
“Chip is always teaching me [that] if you’re not having fun, if you’re not enjoying, and savoring these moments, then why are you doing it? And he also pushes me to do it,” Joanna said.
While Chip help Joanna be more free about herself, the latter helped the former get grounded.
“I was just such an idiot and I was just so, so anxious and so excitable,” Chip told Winfrey. “My dad used to [say], in a loving way, ‘Son, talking to you is like trying to get a drink of water out of a fire hydrant.’ I was always that kind of energy, it wasn’t pleasant, it wasn’t cute. Joe has just kind of grounded me. When I die or I’m on my deathbed, what I’ll say looking back is that ‘I owe you my life because you settled me down.’”
How Chip and Joanna Gaines curate for the Magnolia Network
Chip and Joanna are now running the Magnolia Network and they are now in charge of the programming that is featured on their channel. The couple found massive success with Fixer Upper in part to their on-air chemistry. Now that Chip and Joanna look for talent for their network, they have one particular characteristic that they are looking for.
“I think one of the things we’ve seen is that thread of vulnerability. People have to say, ‘I’m willing to put myself out there. I don’t even know how to be on TV,’” Joanna explained to Variety. “We’re like, ‘Hey, it doesn’t matter. Forget the cameras are there, we just want to highlight what you are doing authentically in your life.’”
Magnolia Network is now available through your cable service provider with programming also available through the discovery+ streaming service.
