Not only do we know that he is a car enthusiast and that his favorite movie is Chariots of Fire, but it has also been revealed that Biden’s go-to food is a dessert many people never fail to go crazy over. During President Donald Trump’s presidency, so much was written about his love of fast-food, especially fares from McDonald’s, Wendy’s, and Burger King.

Now that President-elect Biden has taken office, we are starting to hear a lot more about what he likes to eat on a daily basis — and surprisingly, it’s foods a majority of people like to indulge in regularly.

Back in September 2020, former President Barack Obama pulled the curtain back on Biden’s favorite foods, revealing to Vice President-elect Kamala Harris that the politician “goes deep” on pasta with red sauce.

Obama also revealed Biden’s love of ice cream, which has been well-documented throughout the years.

We don’t think there’s anyone who loves ice cream more than Biden.

Since campaigning with Obama in 2008, there have been numerous memorable sightings around the country of the former Vice President indulging in the beloved dessert.

“I don’t drink. I don’t smoke. But I eat a lot of ice cream,” Biden said of his favorite snack in 2016, according to Biography.com.

Even Biden’s love ones are well-aware of his obsession with ice cream and recently opened up about his favorite food during the 2020 Democratic National Convention.

In a pre-recorded video played at the event, Biden’s grandchildren spoke animatedly about his love of the frozen dessert. They even revealed his go-to ice cream flavors.

“He’s always eating ice cream,” they said, joking that Biden keeps his Breyer’s chocolate and vanilla tubs hidden so “grandma doesn’t see.”

After accepting the Democratic nomination, his eldest grandchild, Naomi, shared on social media that they gifted him a tub of ice cream. “Pop, tonight you eat from the box,” their note read.

Rumors previously spread that Joe Biden spent over $10,000 on ice cream during his presidential campaign

Though it’s clear that Biden is an ice cream connoisseur, it was previously rumored that he went overboard with his obsession with the frozen treat during his run for the presidency.

In April 2020, Eater reported that the politician had spent more than $10,000 on ice cream during his campaign for the White House.

But rest assure, the President-elect didn’t actually eat $10,000-worth of ice cream himself. Instead, he gave the dessert as gifts to campaign donors.

Since then, Biden has continued to put his love of ice cream on display, sharing posts dedicated to his favorite food on his social media accounts.

Now that Biden has officially taken office as the 46th President of the United States, we’re certain the freezers in the White House will be fully stocked with ice cream throughout these next four years.
