‘Counting On’ Fans Believe Joseph and Kendra Duggar Have the ‘Happiest’ Duggar Marriage By Far
The Duggar family does things far differently than most American families. Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar have 19 kids, and they raised those kids with very conservative rules and values. The Duggar kids tend to get married very young and often to people who either belong to the family’s church or share those same religious values.
For a while, some fans have questioned how real the kids’ relationships are — and whether all of them are truly happy. But the general consensus is that Joe and Kendra Duggar have the happiest relationship of them all.

Joe wrote on the couple’s website that he first met the Caldwell family in 2012 after visiting their church. However, it wasn’t until several years later that he actually took notice of Kendra. Joe’s family joined Lighthouse Baptist Church, where Kendra’s father is a pastor, back in 2015. And a couple years later, Joe realized that he loved Kendra’s “sweet and gentle spirit.”
Joe and Kendra started talking often, and he eventually asked her parents if he could enter into a courtship with her. In March 2017, the two officially started courting.

The Duggars tend to marry quickly — they’re not ones to waste time when it comes to entering that next phase of life. Joe and Kendra only dated for a couple months before he proposed, and the wedding planning happened quickly. He got down on one knee in May 2017, and they were married by September of that same year.
These two also didn’t waste any time when it came starting a family. Kendra became pregnant on her wedding night, and the two welcomed their first child, Garrett, in June 2018. Their second child, Addison, was born in November 2019.
Fans think these two have the happiest relationship
Counting On fans recently took to Reddit to discuss which Duggar couples they think have the happiest marriage. And, despite that some of the users don’t particularly like the Duggar family, Joe and Kendra were practically the unanimous no. 1 spot.
“Two dunderheads in love. Blissful ignorance. Naturally more upbeat people,” one user wrote about Joe and Kendra. “Joe and Kendra are probably the happiest,” someone else wrote. Another user said the two “have good chemistry.” Other couples close to the top were John and Abbie Duggar and Jessa and Ben Seewald.
Some think there are several Duggar couples who seem unhappy
The general consensus was that Josiah and Lauren Duggar are the unhappiest couple; fans seem to think the two do not have any real chemistry. Others suggested that Josh and Anna are unhappy as well, mainly because of everything that happened in their relationship a few years ago.
Some think Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo aren’t very happy, either. They believe Jinger seems “fed up” with her husband, who some criticize for having a self-righteous attitude. All of the fans’ opinions are speculative and based on body language and the visible chemistry between couples; nothing about any Duggar relationship can be confirmed. The spouses always seem to post positive messages about their loved ones on social media, and there is no real way to tell what any of them are thinking.
