Fans of the Fox reboot of Joe Millionaire are calling it “breath of fresh air” from ABC’s The Bachelor. Many thought the women from Joe Millionaire appeared to have more fun than the contestants on The Bachelor — plus, they loved Martin as the host.

“Martin is also a whole lot more fun to watch than the very forgettable new Bachelor host,” said one Reddit user. “[It’s] really fun to see more of Martin’s personality,” another comment reads. “You’d never see that type of thing on The Bachelor.”

Martin Andrew has been a Rod Stewart impersonator for 20 years

Martin performs as a Rod Stewart impersonator outside of the Fox reality series. “The Rod Stewart thing is something I sort of fell Into after some theater work in Canada,” Martin explained as a guest on The Right Reality podcast. As a fan of Stewart’s music, Martin found the opportunity to be fun and lucrative.

“I’ve done it for the last 20 years,” he elaborated, citing two recently sold-out shows in Las Vegas. “It is something I’m still going to do — I’ve got a show in July.”

Occasionally, Martin will perform as a guest in other Vegas-style shows. But he has his own show, Forever Rod, where he’s the star.

According to his websiteForever Rod is a rock and roll tribute show to the singer-songwriter. “This is the man that recreates the Rod Stewart experience from his early days with The Faces [to] the glamour of the 80s, the more sophisticated Rod of the 90s, and beyond.”

Martin’s site continues: “The show is an exploration of Rod’s career with live music cleverly integrated with documented visual displays by way of projection cameras. [It features] all the hits from ‘Maggie May’ to ‘Do Ya Think I’m Sexy?’ as well as a trip down memory lane with a selection of timeless classics from the Great American Songbook.”

Butler wants to return for another season of ‘Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer’

Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer ended with both men finding love. At publication, only one of the stars from the reboot is in a relationship.

While Fox has yet to announce another season of Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer, many fans are hopeful the show will return with new prospects. Martin is ready to return in future episodes of the SallyAnn Salsano produced series, whenever the network does decide to renew it.

“The biggest thing I’m hoping for is I may have to alter things around [performing as Rod Stewart] because season 2’s coming up,” he said on The Right Reality. As he explained to Distractify:

“I love the experience so much. I was terrified when I started filming. It was quite challenging. But, I would love to do this season after season.”

Martin thinks Joe Millionaire is a “great concept.” Stay tuned to Showbiz Cheat Sheet for updates on the future of Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer.
