John Miller Appears ‘Unsupportive’ of Jennifer Garner, Celebrity Matchmaker Warns
Jennifer Garner and her boyfriend, John Miller, have been dating since 2018 — the same year she and Ben Affleck finalized their divorce. Garner loves living life away from the spotlight, as does Miller. Unfortunately, a celebrity matchmaker warned that Miller might appear “unsupportive” of Garner due to his aversion to the media.
A celebrity matchmaker says John Miller shows signs of being ‘unsupportive’ of Jennifer Garner
Jennifer Garner and John Miller seem to be in their relationship for the long haul. Before dating Miller, Garner was married to Ben Affleck for a decade. She and Affleck worked hard to keep their marriage out of the media. However, given Affleck’s substance abuse issues and popularity among moviegoers, it was no easy feat.
Garner and Miller work hard for their privacy. Celebrity matchmaker Alessandra Conti told Fox News Digital that Miller not attending Garner’s public events makes Miller seem “secretive” and potentially unsupportive.
“He hasn’t even posed with her publicly in any of the events that they’ve been to, which, honestly, as a matchmaker and as a matchmaker that works with celebrities, I would say that I’m not a fan of going about a relationship in that way when you’re with an A-lister,” Conti said. “While, of course, privacy is wonderful, it’s a wonderful goal to have, it almost shames a female celebrity into almost being bashful or apologetic about her career and about the level of success that she’s attained.”
Conti noted that Miller’s lack of public engagements with Garner “shows, even though he’s not outwardly displaying not being a supportive partner, I would say that when somebody is so secretive about a relationship, it’s giving nonsupport. It’s giving unsupportive.”
Jennifer Garner reflected on the ‘stress’ of her marriage to Ben Affleck in the media: ‘I could cry’
Jennifer Garner and John Miller likely prefer to keep their romance as private as possible. Garner reflected on how her public relationship with Ben Affleck put her under immense stress.
“There was a solid decade where there were five or six cars minimum, and easily 15 or 20 on the weekends, outside of my house at all times,” Garner said on CBS Sunday Morning in 2019. “Looking back on that, I really feel the stress of it. I could cry talking about it.”
“Scrutiny in your private life puts a pressure to make things happen,” Garner added. “You feel a pressure to hurry up and get married, because you think that’ll end the, ‘Are they engaged, are they not?’ And that’s true in the reverse as well. If there is any inkling of trouble, or if the tabloids decide there’s trouble, it can create trouble.”
Ben Affleck might secretly enjoy the tabloid attention more than he lets on
Ben Affleck is notoriously private, and several insiders suggested that his marriage to Jennifer Lopez failed because he hates the media spotlight. However, a source told People that Affleck supported Lopez putting their relationship on display with her documentary, The Greatest Love Story Never Told.
“At the time, people thought it was funny, and now the press is reporting [Affleck] wasn’t happy with that life [in the public eye],” the source said. “But he not only supported that life, he encouraged it. It was almost like he’s justifying it. The need for the documentary was his idea.”
Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck on Aug. 20, 2024, the same date as their second wedding anniversary. Garner reportedly helped Affleck through his marital issues with Lopez. Garner’s boyfriend, John Miller, was allegedly tired of seeing Garner bend over backward for her ex.
